I’ve been a therapist for the better part of a decade and have worked in trauma support services for nearly 20 years. My counseling experience includes working with individuals, couples, and families in both inpatient and outpatient facilities, acute mental health stabilization units and substance abuse rehab facilities. I have both personal and professional experience working with veterans and am passionate about helping folks transition back into the civilian world. And we’ll laugh a lot. :)
Welcome, welcome!
I am a LPC that has nearly half a decade of experience in rural mental health. I obtained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I work with people from all walks of life and I pride myself on creating a safe space where you can build the best version of you!

Hi! I’m Madison Williams, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in South Carolina and the founder of The MGW Practice. With a background in school counseling and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education, I specialize in helping young adults, athletes, and high-achievers navigate identity, career transitions, and emotional resilience.
My approach integrates science, psychology, and compassionate care to guide clients through life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. Whether you're seeking purpose, peace, or personal growth, my practice is a space where healing meets strategy; and where you don’t have to do it alone.
I believe in taking a creative approach to your mental health. I have extensive experience working with children and teenagers with behavior issues, struggles with peer interactions, and family dynamic issues. I also specialize in working with men navigating fatherhood, marital issues, and intimacy concerns. As a former educator in an alternative school, I can also assist parents in developing effective strategies for addressing children's behavioral issues.
