I am a counselor who truly enjoys supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. Clients describe me as warm, steady, and approachable. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place to breathe, talk openly, and feel understood. My goal is to help you or your child build confidence, emotional balance, and practical skills that make daily life feel more manageable.
I have worked in schools and community settings, supporting people facing anxiety, depression, behavior concerns, family stress, and big life changes. I focus on strengths, resilience, and helping you move toward a more grounded and hopeful place.

Together, we can work toward cultivating a life of deeper self-compassion, authenticity, and lasting joy.
Hi, I'm Dr. Gina Hartmeier, a psychiatrist with decades of experience helping people find their way through some of life's most challenging moments. I earned my medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine in 1984, and over the years I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of patients, including veterans who've given so much of themselves in service to others. That experience has shaped me into the clinician I am today — someone who meets people where they are, without judgment.
I am a licensed counselor in South Carolina and Florida, a Board-Certified Counselor, and hold a PhD in counseling. I have worked in the field for over 15 years, counseling individuals, couples and families. My experience has prepared me to support folks as they work through a broad range of challenging life situations.
My approach to counseling is to meet clients where they are, providing them with a collaborative environment that is conducive to growth and change, supporting them as they work toward accomplishing their goals in life.
I am here to help you take the next step toward achieving your goals.
