As a heartbreak therapist, my approach is evidence-based, gentle, and non-judgmental. I provide a comforting, open space, where you are the expert in your own life. My role is to help you navigate anxiety, depression, and heartbreak. Clients often describe me as easygoing and feeling safe in my care. Many say if I weren’t their therapist, we’d be friends because of the warmth and comfort I offer.
My name is Emma and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida as well as a graduate of Rollins College Master's of Arts in Mental Health Counseling program. I have been in the mental health field for nearly six years. Prior to graduate school, I started as a Crisis Counselor with 2-1-1, answering crisis and suicide calls and providing those in need with information and referrals to community resources. Since then, I have worked with adults and children in an inpatient hospital setting, college students in a college counseling clinic, and now teens, adults, and couples in a private practice setting.
I will hear your story and help you explore and plan to accomplish your goals. I am easy-going, friendly, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I enjoy working with individuals moving through difficult life transitions where they may feel lost. We can find the answers together. We will explore possibilities that will enable you to think more creatively about solutions to current life obstacles, allowing you to live more fully in the present and with greater joy and fulfillment.
