My name is Laura and I am here to help you find peace and healing in your life. I studied clinical social work at Boston College. Over my career I have worked with people facing difficult life changes, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, chronic illness, parenting difficulties, grief among many other challenges.
I have worked in many different areas from school age children to the elderly. I bring with me the skills and experiences to my therapy practice. I can help your start your journey and explore the hard truths
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with training in adult outpatient psychiatry and telehealth. My background includes psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults with anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, and stress or burnout. I take a supportive, collaborative approach focused on clear communication and shared decision-making. Evening appointments are available.
Do you find yourself doubting your ability? Are you and your family/partner interested in building healthier ways to communicate? Are you ready to heal from the things that you have been afraid to talk about? James Baldwin once said, "Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced." This quote is the essence of therapy, facing difficult obstacles and experiences in hopes with exploration and work things will change.
My name is Whitley, I am a marriage and family therapist. I specialize in working with teens, couples, and families. I work collaboratively with my clients on everyday life challenges. I believe you are an expert in your life and I am here to guide you.
I work with adults navigating grief, loss, anxiety, and significant life transitions. In addition to my clinical work, I’ve taught and trained graduate counseling students, which keeps my approach thoughtful, grounded, and informed by best practices. Clients often describe me as warm, steady, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported as you work through what matters most to you.
Most of us haven’t made it through life without a few bruises. Sometimes we lose touch with ourselves along the way, shaped by what we’ve been through and the weight of those experiences.
That doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. It means you adapted. Sometimes beautifully. Sometimes painfully. Often both.
Therapy is a space to slow down, get curious, and gently begin untangling what you’ve been carrying. Together, we can explore your story with compassion, reconnect with who you are beneath old patterns, and move toward a way of living that feels more aligned, grounded, and authentic.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD, ADHD, and trauma-related conditions. I am also a licensed physician in my home country, with over 10 years of clinical experience. In the United States, I have more than 8 years of experience in psychiatric mental health across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Many of my clients are young adults, POC, professionals and those coming to therapy for the first time. My clients look okay on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally by anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. They ruminate, struggle to say no, and live with a sense of pressure that never lets up. My approach is rooted in CBT, and I use techniques to retrain your brain, and defuse negative thought patterns. I guide individuals to identify unhelpful thinking, challenge internalized pressure, and set boundaries that align with their values. Clients can expect to feel more mentally clear, emotionally grounded, and in control of their choices—ultimately becoming the version of themselves they aspire to be.
I am an LCSW providing compassionate, client centered therapy. I believe therapy should be a safe space, collaborative and empowering. I’m all about meeting clients where they are and honoring their stories to support their healing. I am here to guide you along your healing journey and provide you with tools to cope with your stressors and challenges. I am deeply committed to helping clients develop a kinder relationship with themselves.
There was a time when I felt trapped by anxiety, depression, and overwhelm. I spent years feeling like I was constantly reacting to the world around me—easily overwhelmed, shutting down, and unsure how to move forward. I was living in a hypervigiliant state - always on edge, feeling unsafe in relationships and in my aloneness. This was also followed with depressive states followed by shame and guilt. Working with a Practitioner in Somatic Experiencing has transformed my emotional well being by helping my brain and body recognize safety and reducing my sensitivity to unpleasant sensations and arousal. I now feel more in control, I welcome unpleasant bodily sensations when they show up, and feel more safe in my body.
’m a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families. My background includes many years as a school social worker, where I’ve helped students and parents navigate academic stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges. I completed advanced training in Child, Adolescent, and Parent Psychotherapy at the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and am trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). My approach is warm, collaborative, and psychodynamic, helping clients better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change.
I specialize in mental health needs of the BIPOC (black, indigenous people of color) community. I provides therapy to people who are facing depression, anxiety, traumatic events, racism, death and dying, chronic illness, loss and grief, abuse, violence, and acculturation. I also facilitate specialized support groups associated to workplace trauma.
