With over 15 years of experience, I have worked with children, adults, and families in diverse roles (counseling, education, disability services, healthcare, and social services). These experiences have equipped me with versatility and empathy towards the various challenges faced by individuals (spouses, parents, caregivers & employees). Currently, my focus is on clients ages 18 - geriatric who are dealing with anxiety/depression stemming from stress, life transitions, relationships, and trauma.
I specialize in trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment for PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and military families. With over a decade of experience, I offer culturally responsive therapy in English and Spanish. My telehealth-only practice provides a safe, supportive space for healing, growth, and emotional wellness.
I graduated from University of Washington, Master of Social Work in 2012 and has been in this field for 14 years. I work with clients with depression, anxiety, grief, reproductive mental health, trauma, and life changes.
My approach is person-centered, focusing on you, the client, and the moment-to-moment engagement, discovering insights together. I can help you discover insights into barriers, and the constructive solutions to overcoming those barriers. Each person has the right to live a life free of negative thoughts and experiences—a life of healthy well-being.
I graduated from Northwestern University in 2021 with a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling. I've spent the last three years working in a group practice specializing in treating eating disorders, exploring identity, and working with the BIPOC community addressing cultural issues that show up in everyday life.
My journey in this field began with a fascination for individual development across the lifespan, particularly in relational and identity formation. I earned my B.S. in Developmental Psychology and Women & Gender Studies, which laid the foundation for my interest in this field. Following my undergraduate studies, I completed two terms of service with AmeriCorps, providing support to individuals and families at Community Resource Centers in California throughout the Sacramento and Bay Area. Through these experiences, I gained valuable insight into how strong communities are built by supporting the well-being of individuals and families. This work ultimately inspired me to pursue an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sonoma State University.

Hi My name is Hilary Chentow. I am a licensed clinical social worker living in PA and practicing in PA, WA and DE.
