Welcome! My clinical experience is diverse, including inpatient care, a women's shelter, private practice, and psychological testing. Through my training and work, I have found that the blend of theory and practical examples are the right ingredients for deepening insight and achieving the change desired.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in providing therapeutic services to adults (18+) in individual, group, and couples formats. My foundational background with mental health services comes from my experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings with severe mental disorders and substance use/addiction. I am also fluently bilingual in Spanish.
It is my goal to help clients understand their diagnosis, set goals of what coping looks like, and establish a strong and healthy support system. I also focus on healthy living skills, which entails balancing social and emotional well-being. My belief as a therapist is for each client to see steps of progression leading towards their obtainable goals.
Please note, I am only taking insurance for individual sessions at this time, not for couples counseling.
A Chicago native, I spent years in corporate America yearning for deeper life-meaning. Looking for an opportunity to provide service to others, I obtained an MA in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles, a leading university for individuals serious about practicing psychotherapy with social justice in mind. I help connect life's dots to bring about awareness and change.
