If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken an important first step toward seeking support—and that’s something to be proud of. The good news is, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
My name is Amanda, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Therapist based in Rhode Island. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rhode Island College and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons University. I bring over 10 years of experience working with children and families across a variety of settings, including child welfare, trauma and abuse, mental health, substance use, case management, and the juvenile court system. My work has taken place in homes, schools, foster care settings, health centers and throughout the community.
As a dually licensed LPC and LMHC, I view the therapeutic process as a shared journey of discovery. With 6 years of experience spanning the full developmental spectrum—from the playful energy of children and teens to the seasoned wisdom of our elders—I specialize in meeting people exactly where they are. My practice is built on honoring diversity in all its forms, ensuring that every individual, duo, or group feels seen in their unique self-image.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I currently work in a school setting, which has given me a strong understanding of how stress, emotions and behavior show up in everyday life-not just in therapy but at home, school and work.
I connect easily with people who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like they've always had to "hold it together" for everyone else. My goal is to create a safe space where you can feel comfortable being yourself without judgement. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you better understand your patterns while building practical tools to feel more in control of your life.
