Hi, I am Jackie If you are taking the time to read my profile that means that you have made the decision to get some support for yourself or someone you love. Pat yourself on the back, taking the first step is the most difficult and you have just done that. I have been a social worker for over 20 years in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. I earned my BSW in 2001 from LaSalle University and my MSW in 2004 from Temple University. I obtained my LSW license in 2007 and my LCSW license in 2010. I have worked in the home, community, school, and in-patient hospital settings. I enjoy working with diverse groups of clients. I pride myself on providing individual and strengths based clinical support to my clients. I use humor, honesty, and radical acceptance in the work I do with my clients. I use a blend of therapeutic styles based on the individual needs of my client. I do use self -disclosure about my own trauma if I feel that it is beneficial to my client and the work we are doing together. Establishing and building rapport is paramount to any working relationship. I am easy to establish rapport with and am very outgoing. I am passionate about the work that I do and that shows through during sessions with my clients. I believe that every person deserves to be accepted, celebrated, and loved for who they are. I believe that my purpose as a social worker is to partner and support my clients in becoming the best versions of themselves. I am a childhood sexual abuse survivor, a domestic violence survivor, a date rape survivor, and a spiritual gangsta. I am also a mother of 5 children ( 3 human and 2 canine), a wife, a daughter, a sister, an Aunt, a friend, and a step daughter. I wear many different hats, just like my clients do. :) I look forward to connecting with you soon.
Choosing to start therapy is a courageous step, and I believe that a strong, supportive relationship is the foundation of meaningful change. As a licensed Clinical Psychologist, my approach is both evidence-based and deeply person-centered. I work to create a space where you feel truly seen and heard, blending clinical expertise with genuine empathy. Together, we’ll navigate life’s complexities and develop the tools you need to move forward with resilience and clarity. I’ve always believed that the best therapy happens when clinical expertise meets genuine human connection. My journey in this field began at Penn State, and I later sharpened my skills through a Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Widener University. But while my degrees hang on the wall, my heart is in the work of helping people navigate the beautiful, messy reality of everyday life.
When I’m not in the office, I’m living my own 'real life'—which usually involves cheering from the sidelines at my son’s lacrosse games or sitting in the audience at my daughter’s dance competitions. I’m a firm believer that we’re all works in progress, and I’d be honored to support you in yours.
