I am a doctorally educated, board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have additional training and experience in perinatal mental health and addiction medicine. I have worked in the psychiatric field for eight years and have been practicing as a nurse practitioner for three.
I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2006 with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology-criminology. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009 with a Master of Social Work. My clinical experience has been with adults and adolescents in private practice, adults incarcerated in a maximum-security prison, in residential treatment facilities, and with criminal offenders in a community-based setting.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with three years of independent clinical experience and over ten years of experience in human services. I have a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University, a masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a bachelors of science degree in psychology from North Carolina State University.
I’m a therapist who wants you to feel more at home in your own life and emotions. I know reaching out can feel intimidating, especially during unexpected life changes, so I focus on creating a space that feels safe, steady, and genuinely supportive. I’m fluent in English and Spanish, and I bring a deep respect for each person’s story, culture, and values. I earned my BS in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and my MSW from the University of Houston, and I hold a certification as a Fellow in Thanatology from the Association of Death Education and Counseling.

Welcome to my practice. I’m a Master of Social Work clinician with a degree from Walla Walla University (2016), and I’ve been providing mental health counseling ever since. My work has primarily focused on supporting adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress related to major life changes. I entered this field to meet people where they are emotionally and to support them in reaching their personal goals.
