Welcome to my practice. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I work primarily through a somatic lense helping clients connect with their body. I’m a trained yoga teacher and instruct clients with meditation skills to facilitate grounding. EMDR is an additional modality that I incorporate to assist with trauma integration and overwhelming feelings.
I'm a clinical social worker who has worked with a diverse population of clients. I hold a particular interest in working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and loss.
My client focus
While I have worked with a wide variety of clients from youth to adult, I have a particular passion for working with individuals and families struggling with depression, anxiety, chronic health issues, grief, and loss. I have many years of experience supporting people providing care to a loved one in particular.
My communication style
I am known for a kind but direct approach. I strive to help clients feel comfortable and supported.
How I help clients reach goals
From our first appointment, I will work with you in setting goals for therapy. As part of our initial meeting, we will talk about what you want your life to look like at the end of our work together.
My journey to becoming a provider
When talking about my journey becoming a therapist, I always start out by letting people know that social work found me and I'm so glad it did! In my journey as a therapist, I started out running groups, which I have enjoyed for many years. I was later drawn to working with people individually.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply off, you’re in the right place. I work with individuals who are ready for meaningful, lasting change, people navigating the stress of parenting, the weight of anxiety and depression, the challenges of ADHD, or the desire to reconnect with their true selves. Because therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about remembering who you are, beneath the noise.
I specialize in supporting:
-Parents and caregivers of children with complex or behavioral needs
-Women navigating identity, burnout, life transitions, or societal pressure
-Adults with ADHD, anxiety, or depression looking for new tools and self-compassion
-Those exploring alternative lifestyles or seeking alignment with their values
-Intensive Summer Therapeutic Program for Neurodivergent Children
I am a life-long resident of the Pacific Northwest, thriving in Western Oregon about one hour away from the Oregon Coast. I was born and raised in neighboring Idaho and I am an alumni of Boise State University, home to my beloved Broncos. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 18 years of clinical experience working with clients in treatment settings ranging from Community Mental Health to my own private practice and many more in-between. I have extensive experience working with clients with treatment needs ranging from depression and anxiety to stress and anger management. I am currently certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) as well as Anger Management (CSAM).
Mental health counseling is a form of help that can be tailored to meet the diverse needs of many individuals. Some mental health professionals, including me, intentionally incorporate spiritual or religious elements into their therapeutic practices. I do so because I primarily serve a Christian community, because my clients also adhere to religious principles in their own lives, and I subscribe to the belief that people experiencing distress can especially benefit from the help of God and spiritual empowerment.
