Greetings! My name is Mizuki Kojima and I am a clinical social worker, licensed in the District of Columbia, and the state of Washington, Virginia, and Oregon. I have been in private practice since 2021 and specialize in neurodivergence, chronic conditions, addiction, healthcare, and professional development.
I have worked in the field of social services for over 31 years. I have experience working with adult survivors of child abuse, child neglect, domestic violence, commercial exploitation, and rape. I have experience working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, divorce, family separation, and caretaker fatigue. I also have experience working with adults dealing with significant life/career changes, and those dealing with crisis situations.
I'm an LCSW with expertise in brain and behavior and additional specialty in addiction
As a therapist, my approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. I create a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel understood, supported, and valued. Together, we’ll explore what you’re carrying, build insight, and develop practical tools that fit your life. My goal is to help you feel empowered, encouraged, and equipped to move toward the version of yourself you want to become.
Are you feeling overwhelmed? I support you so that healing can take root and families can grow stronger. I work with youth, young adults, parents and caregivers who are dealing with challenges and help them reconnect, grow and thrive. If you are ready to see change, I am ready to help you get there.
I bring compassionate modalities such as Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT) and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) to support family systems with counseling, skills and support to grow. I focus on strengths based work to help my clients improve their lives and relationships.
When you are ready to connect, please text, call or email. I offer a free initial conversation to see if I might be a good fit for you on your journey.
If you're feeling stuck, challenged, or noticing yourself repeating patterns that no longer serve you, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Many people reach a point where they feel unsure about how to move forward or how to live in a way that feels more aligned with who they truly are. Together, we can work through these burdens and begin exploring what may be keeping you from experiencing the life you want. If you're not sure what your goals are or what might be preventing you from moving forward, that is a perfectly valid place to begin—or continue—your path toward change, clarity, and healing.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a secondary focus in Art Therapy. My background allows me to incorporate both traditional therapeutic approaches and creative expression when helpful, offering multiple ways to explore emotions, gain insight, and support meaningful personal growth.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon and Texas providing teletherapy to clients. I graduated from Portland State University with a Master’s in Social Work and have pursued extensive post-graduate training in trauma treatment, psychedelic-assisted therapy, couples counseling, and ACT/DBT models. I specialize in working with folks that struggle with anxiety, depression, developmental or acute trauma, family of origin concerns, LGBTQIIA+ issues, obsessive thinking, and stress management.
As a licensed therapist with over three decades of experience, I specialize in supporting individuals through life's complex challenges. My practice centers on helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, family dynamics, grief, and significant life transitions. I have worked with a vast population: healthcare, residential, mental health and the unhoused.
“Only those who sow seeds of change can hope to grow and reap a harvest.”

I am proud to have earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2022, while balancing a full-time job. Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to work alongside experienced clinicians, continuously learning and growing in my practice. I am now fully licensed in Oregon and excitedly working toward licensure in Washington state.
My passion lies in empowering children aged 6 and above, helping them navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience. I have experience administering a variety of assessment tools and enjoy working with children in group settings. I am most familiar with supporting those who face ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and family conflicts. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where clients can discover their strengths, gain understanding, and thrive.
Before my counseling journey, I spent nearly a decade as a skills trainer, working closely with social workers to help adults, including seniors, access vital community resources. I bring a compassionate and adaptable approach, grounded in a diverse array of theories and techniques. I believe that growth is a lifelong journey, and I am excited to learn and grow alongside my clients. Together, we can explore new pathways, foster resilience, and move toward a more hopeful future.
I strive to create a space where all people feel seen, respected and valued-honoring every race, nationality, sexual orientation, gender expression, and identity.
