As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, and life transitions. I have a special interest in supporting caregivers, including those in the "sandwich generation" balancing children and aging parents, as well as spouses and partners of first responders who are navigating the demands of shift work and secondary stress.
A warm hello to all. I am Ericka, an independently licensed clinician in practice with children and families for 20 years and growing. I am a master's level graduate from the University of Cincinnati, with a humble beginning at Cincinnati State where I earned my Associates of Arts Degree.
I am a therapist who believes healing happens through safety, compassion, and collaboration. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and deeply respectful of each person’s story. I specialize in supporting clients who have experienced chronic stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
I am a family systems oriented therapist. Just meeting you, I am curious about you and the system of relationships you inhabit. I will ask a lot of questions.
Do you feel healthy in Mind, Body, and Spirit?
Your life is OK, but you want more. You have limited resources but unlimited goals and dreams. You may have difficulty feeling successful. Do you have: Peace of mind? Clarity of mind? Clear priorities, goals and paths? A sense of purpose? Positive, consistent habits? Motivation?
Are you concerned about your: physical, emotional and medical health, level of exercise, social life, friends, family, intimate relationships, spiritual connection, finances, professional growth, career, sleep, food choices, nutrition, learning, experiencing, exploring, and growing?
Although you may feel sad or anxious at times, you are never “in crisis”. You do NOT get deeply depressed, and you are not at risk of hurting yourself or others. You have no significant substance use or health-threatening addictive or self-injurious behaviors. You are not in trouble with the law. However short-term pleasures and distractions may reduce your power in achieving long-term goals. Are you spinning your wheels?
Are you looking for a therapist to help you sort it all out and get going?
