Welcome, and 初めまして。 I offer telehealth therapy for residents of Hawaii and New York.
If you’re here, you’re probably hoping to feel better—fast. That’s human.
I was born in Japan, grew up in the U.S., and have lived in both Hawaii and New York. I’m a licensed clinical social worker in both states, with a background in leading nationally recognized mental health programs and training over 200 therapists. I also bring a business perspective, which helps me focus on practical, real-world solutions.
From both professional and personal experience, I understand how even strong, capable people can feel overwhelmed when life throws a curveball.
Sometimes change takes time, but we can begin right away by making sense of what’s going on and finding realistic ways to move forward.
I take a practical, steady approach, backed by over 25 years of experience in mental health.
I work with emerging adults (ages 18-29) and professionals using somatic and talk therapy. I specialize in treating individuals exploring single-event, systemic and interpersonal trauma, eating disorders/fatphobia, ableism, self-esteem, intrusive thoughts, self-harm recovery, chronic pain/illness, creativity, and career and academic planning. I am EMDR (eye movement-desensitization and reprocessing) trained and in the process of becoming certified.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2002. Having worked in healthcare and academic settings, I appreciate being part of a treatment team and am available to coordinate care with other providers when beneficial. Rather than see 'how many problems' a person may be facing... I see 'how many ways things can get better'. I value working with folks to see their puzzle from a different angle and to use tools to clarify, change and improve the picture.
I have over 8 years clinical experience working with a variety of populations in a variety of community mental health settings. My have a person-centered approach to treatment and provide warmth, empathy, empowerment and support to my clients as they work to overcome their challenges and improve their life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides a warm, down to earth space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I have over 5 years experience providing counseling to individuals navigating trauma, including first responder trauma, along with individuals with substance use concerns and the stress that comes with navigating life's challenges.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults around anxiety, mood concerns, relationships, and feeling stuck in patterns that don’t seem to change. I care a lot about creating a real, human connection in therapy—not just giving advice or tools. My style is warm and collaborative, but also honest and thoughtful. I believe therapy works best when support and personal responsibility go hand in hand.
I am a licensed Clinical and School Psychologist (PhD) with 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a variety of life's challenges. My work spans clinical, educational, and therapeutic settings, giving me a deep understanding of how emotional well-being intersects with learning, relationships, and daily functioning across the life-span. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with integration of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and solution-focused strategies. I work with children, adolescents, and adults on concerns including anxiety and stress management, depression and mood difficulties, life transitions and adjustments, emotion regulation and coping skills, behavioral and school related concerns, parenting support and guidance, and executive functioning skills.
Born in the Gateway of the amazon, and raised in numerous different countries; I would best be described as a Global Citizen. My unique background has allowed me to understand that individuals don't fit in a box.
I have provided psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health issues using a variety of techniques, from behavioral to psychoanalytic at practices including The Karen Horney Clinic, Trinitas Regional Medical Center, and Miami Children’s Hospital.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I aim to create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and free from judgment. I work collaboratively and believe therapy should meet you where you are. My goal is to support you in gaining clarity and confidence as you navigate what brought you to therapy.
I’m a licensed therapist and intuitive healer who helps clients reconnect with themselves and reclaim their peace. My background blends traditional clinical training with holistic practices like reiki energy work, somatic practices and mindfulness, allowing me to meet clients where they are- mind, body, and spirit.
I specialize in supporting people who’ve carried too much for too long — those navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, or complex family dynamics. My approach is real, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I don’t believe in quick fixes or surface-level advice; I believe in helping you understand your story, heal old wounds, and move forward feeling grounded, confident, and aligned.
With the use of therapy or medication I can treat you or your child so that impairments can be identified and the ability to function more easily is achieved.
My training allows me to diagnose and give treatment recommendations based on my assessment which consists of an evaluation gathering personal history, psychosocial and environmental stressors, and symptom review. I can help you understand the diagnosis and determine the cause of the difficulty with the use of medication or psychotherapy.
I am a double Board Certified Psychiatrist with Specialty Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I completed my Adult Residency Training and Child and Adolescent Fellowship training at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
