Hi! I am a board certified DNP-PMHNP-BC. I started my career in traditional health practices as a Fulbright Scholar in Sochi, Russia. I presented my research at the US Embassy in Moscow. Following the completion of my grant I attended New York University (NYU). From there I completed a residency at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. Following this I entered and completed my doctorate at USD University of San Diego, California with a focus on digital telehealth treatment for psychiatric care. I have a passion for working with the veteran population and those seeking care outside the box. I recently completed my facilitation for psychadelic assisted therapy and have an additional practice in Denver, Colorado. I enjoy yoga, swimming and all the water sports!
I help adults and teens who struggle with conflict, alienation, and self-doubt develop self-esteem and feel free to pursue joy without feeling guilty for it. I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, trauma, or anxiety related to their relationships or family. My clients also learn self-regulation skills and see a decrease in high anxiety and stress within 2-5 sessions.
I am a licensed psychologist since 2017 and have worked in a range of settings consisting of inpatient psychiatric facilities, community mental health, private practice, and nursing and rehabilitation facilities. I have served clients with wide a range of diversities (race, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and socio-economic status).
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Keuka College. My experience includes supporting individuals through trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I draw from evidence-based approaches to help clients find balance, healing, and renewed purpose.
My goal as a therapist is to help guide you toward authenticity while re-establishing interpersonal connections with those around you. Whether you’re looking to gain skills, problem-solving for everyday stress, or are experiencing major life events, we can explore and work toward your personal goals collaboratively. I have a specialty in working with individuals who don’t have a good relationship with food and are seeking to repair their body image, self-esteem, and comfortability with food.
As a licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey, I offer remote individual psychotherapy to adults. My approach is collaborative, and you are an active partner in designing your personal goals. I individualize treatment based on your presenting concerns/needs as well as your unique background and history. Based on my training and experience in a variety of treatment modalities, including CBT, DBT, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, I use an integrative approach to help you reach your personal goals, which may involve learning skills to manage life’s difficulties and developing greater understanding of yourself.
I have more than 15 years of experience working in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals and schools. As a trained pianist and a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, I also incorporate creative expression in my practice, and my speciality includes issues related to cultural diversity (e.g., LGBTQIA+, Asian American mental health, immigration).
