My name is Sierra Patterson, my pronouns are she/they. I am a Black American therapist in their 30s based in Baltimore, MD, who received their master's degree from Johns Hopkins University, School of Education. I specialize in depression and anxiety and am learning more about trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+ issues, and neurodiversity affirming approaches.
I earned my doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University of Maryland and had the honor and privilege of serving as an Army Psychologist for 5 years prior to opening my private practice. I completed my internship and post-doctoral training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where I gained specialized training in trauma treatment. Prior to my work at Walter Reed, I trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Baltimore VA.
My work is rooted in helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, while building a deeper sense of clarity and self-trust. I work with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.
