Welcome!
Therapy offers us the opportunity to make sense of our questions, deepen our values, and take authorship of our narratives. As a licensed clinical social worker, I hope to support you in that work.
I serve clients experiencing anxiety, life transitions, grief, and relationship concerns, and I am passionate about working with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. I carry a Master of Social Work from the University of New England, and I have certifications in Reproductive Health Leadership and Aging. This spring, I am pursuing certification in perinatal mental health.
Hi, I’m Melanie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Rise Again Counseling. I provide virtual therapy to teens and adults across Maine, supporting people through anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, and ongoing stress. My background includes working in outpatient mental health, and I’ve built my practice to be a place where people feel comfortable, understood, and supported as they work through what’s weighing on them.
Hi there! I am a psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker with a Master's in Social Work from Boston University. I have worked in several clinical settings providing care to children, adolescents, and adults, including at a community behavioral health center, a mobile crisis team, in the emergency room, and at partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. In my free time, I love to be outside! I enjoying going for walks, doing yoga, running, hiking, and skiing with my family.
Hi there, I'm Rebecca. Do you feel drained and overwhelmed with life at times? The world we live in today so many natural human experiences have become so overwhelming. Whether it is anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationships, or substance use disorder, I would like to walk along the path with you.
Hi, I’m Ashley therapist, animal lover, creative soul, and lifelong daydreamer. I bring a warm and down-to-earth approach to my work, and I believe that connection, curiosity, and authenticity are at the heart of healing.
When I’m not in session, you can usually find me lost in a good book especially fantasy, romantasy, or dark romance (I’m a proud BookTok girly). Some of my favorite reads have come straight from client recommendations. I always love hearing what’s on your bookshelf.
I’m also a big fan of all things crafty. Paper crafting is my go-to especially junk journals and mini albums but I’ve dabbled in wreaths, t-shirts, and tumblers. My creativity also spills into my love of music, which spans from Sleep Token to George Strait to Eminem. I’m always up for discovering new bands or catching a local show.
On slower days, I love wandering through antique stores and thrift shops. Most of my home is decorated with pieces that have a story either found secondhand or passed down through family. I find comfort in giving old things new life.
Animals have always been a grounding force in my world. I’ve been riding horses since I was four, and my heart horse, Kirby, is my trail buddy and snack-sharing best friend (she’s a big fan of applesauce and cupcakes). My two dogs, Oliver and Dottie, are certified therapy dogs who’ve joined me in visits to hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, and children’s reading programs. Together, Kirby, Oliver, and Dottie inspired the name Free to Wander Counseling, a reflection of my belief that healing often begins when we allow ourselves to explore, play, and connect in gentle, open-hearted ways.
Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here just as you are.
I completed my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 2019. Since then, I have work primarily worked for institutions facilitating groups for PHP/IOP programs and providing outpatient individual and couples counseling.
My name is Wanda Barnes, I am a licensed mental health therapist LMHC in Florida and a licensed professional counselor (LPC), in the State of Maine. I started working in substance abuse at 17 years old driving the bus that took clients to AA/NA. Many years later I am still passionate about working with those who struggle with addiction of any kind or those who love them. I also worked 9 years with children and families in schools and foster care. Later I opened and operated a mental health clinic in Florida.
Sometimes life throws us a curveball, and we just need someone to help us navigate the change without completely losing our way. I'm Kara Talton, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and my passion is helping young adults, adults, and seniors find their balance during these transitions. You won't find fancy therapy terms or complicated coping skills here. Instead, we'll focus on practical, real-life strategies that fit your day-to-day routine.
