I have been a MSSW since 1998 with a host of experience with children, adults, geriatrics, and families. I also have two other graduate degrees and real-life experiences that contribute to my value as a therapist. I love to help others overcome challenges and blossom into the best version of themselves!
Welcome! I am a compassionate practitioner dedicated to offering guidance and practical skills to individuals seeking to navigate life's stressors. Here are a few key points about me and my approach:
I’m a therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, emotional healing, and personal growth. I hold a master’s degree in Human Development and Counseling Psychology, as well as a master’s degree in Biblical Studies.
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel truly heard, respected, and understood. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration — helping clients reconnect with their strengths and move toward the life they want to live.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or a season of transition, I’m here to support you in a thoughtful, non-judgmental space.
As your therapist, I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work, I have a solid educational foundation. My work with the active-duty military, specifically combat-related PTSD, has equipped me with a deep understanding of trauma's impact. I specialize in working with adults addressing concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships. Together we'll explore evidence-based techniques tailored to your needs, fostering healing, growth, and well-being.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters in Social Work. Throughout my 12+ year career I have worked with a variety of people and have really found my skill set to be working with people dealing with OCD, depression, and anxiety. I like to incorporate elements of CBT, DBT, and mindfulness into my work.
I focus on helping people work through depression and anxiety, and I'm especially passionate about guiding folks as they grow into the version of themselves they want to be. Everyone's journey is different, and I'm here to walk alongside you as you find your way.
My journey stems from my own story of resilience in the face of hardships. I became a therapist because I have always wanted to help people through some of their darkest hours. Being exposed to some dark hours myself, I know that it is difficult to do it alone. When you have someone to confide in, assist you through the hard times, and just let you know that you are not alone, makes a difference.
My therapeutic approach includes CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Relational Therapy, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, SFT, EMT, Gestalt, and just speaking like a human being. I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported. My approach is relational and personalized—we'll explore your story together, build coping tools, and move toward healing with curiosity, courage, and care.
Therapy with me is real, down-to-earth, and never boring. I mix honesty, humor, and heart to make the process comfortable. I help adults manage emotions, build confidence, and tackle life's challenges with tools that work. Think of it as a safe space to be yourself, grow, and maybe laugh along the way.
You may be feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, especially if you’ve experienced trauma, toxic relationships, or emotional pain that keeps resurfacing. It can feel overwhelming trying to move forward while still carrying the weight of the past. You don’t have to do this alone. I provide a supportive space where you can begin to understand your story, break free from old patterns, and move toward a more peaceful, meaningful, and purpose-driven life.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Kentucky, and I also supervise and train others working toward licensure. My goal is to create a space where you can feel heard and human. One of my core beliefs is that we listen without judgment, and together, we work to help you get to where you want to be.
Hello, my name is Justin Adekoya. I am a husband, father, and coach. I attended Eastern Kentucky University, where I played football and earned my degree in Social Work. After graduating, I spent some time in the NFL before deciding to hang up my cleats and refocus on my true passion which is helping others overcome challenges related to anxiety, depression, and mindset.
In 2018, I returned to school to earn my Master’s in Social Work from Spalding University and went on to obtain my CSW, followed by my LCSW. Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, including veterans, student-athletes from recreational to collegiate levels, adolescents, and teens.
I am passionate about helping clients who feel stuck between their potential and their current mental state, those who have noticed fluctuations in focus, motivation, or confidence and haven’t been able to pinpoint why. Whether you’re a student, athlete, or individual experiencing pressure to perform, struggling with perfectionism, or battling self-doubt while seeking a healthier, more sustainable balance, you are not alone. I’m here to be your sounding board, and together, we can work to get you back on track.
