Hi, I'm Amanda (she/her/hers) I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana, an Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, and Trained in EMDR. In 2018 I graduated with a Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings including: in-home, in-school programs, community mental health, psychiatric inpatient care, group private practice, and therapeutic foster care.
I offer individual and family therapy. I work with clients ages 5 to 65. Tele-health options are available for clients ages 16 +.
I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, panic, depression, grief, identity concerns, and major life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to keep carrying everything on their own.
My approach is affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in practical tools. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and supported as we work toward greater calm, clarity, and stability. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you move forward in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
I have been treating clients with trauma for over 20 years.
I will understand you and believe you. This includes all victims of abuse and violence.
Everyone should be able to make decisions about their own body. I am pro LGBTQIA, pro roe, pro Sex Worker , sex positive, and I continually work toward being anti-racist and I will do that work until the day I leave this earth.
Everyone deserves to have a safe space to explore who they are and who they want to be
My name is Lauren Holder. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in substance use treatment, working with both individuals and families impacted by addiction. My experience includes co-occurring disorders, trauma, and complex relationship dynamics across inpatient and outpatient settings.
I also bring the unique perspective of lived experience to this work. I understand what it’s like to love someone struggling with addiction, and the toll it can take. That perspective shapes how I show up—with clarity, honesty, and a focus on helping clients move forward in a way that feels stable and sustainable.
Everyone has a story worth sharing. Therapy is a great way to share and strengthen your story. Walking alongside you in this process would be an opportunity worth having.
I have been told that I have a calming and soothing persona. I like to make everyone feel heard, important, and supported during their time of need.
My top priority is making sure we remove the barriers stopping you from living the life you want and deserve. I am stubborn in that I want to keep persistent in making sure you reach your goals. I incorporate mindfulness into much of my practice and will help you build grounding skills and a present centered focus to benefit your life and processing.
I am formally trained in several approaches: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, among others. The bulk of my training has focused on treating trauma and being trauma informed, though I have a special interest area of perinatal mental health, reproduction concerns, and infertility/loss.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides trauma-informed therapy for adults, with a focus on anxiety, perfectionism, and attachment-related concerns. I earned my degree from the University of Alabama and have specialized training in evidence-based, attachment-focused approaches.
With over 30 years of experience, I will help you focus on solutions and strengths, create attainable goals and a personalized road map to success. I seek to empower people who aspire to untangle the complexities of their lives. You’re not alone. Get unstuck, to thrive and create a life you love.
Like many, my journey started with a different story than where I landed. I started with a focus on veterinary medicine in undergraduate college, that grew into a focus on therapeutic techniques and support at the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. I've grown to focus into trauma treatments for various ages, and continue to gain knowledge for personality disorders, behavioral concerns, and much more. I love working with all ages, from children to adults, and finding new ways to create a safe and supportive space for each that feels just right.
