My journey to becoming a provider
My journey into therapy began with curiosity about human resilience and the desire to help others find strength through life's hardest challenges. I've worked with trauma survivors, individuals in crisis, and those with mood disorders. I'm driven by the belief that everyone has potential for growth.
I am a warm, empathetic, and inquisitive therapist who values collaboration and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. I enjoy partnering with clients to deepen self-awareness and to better understand the root causes of maladaptive symptoms, as well as recurring thought and behavior patterns. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. My role is to walk alongside you—offering curiosity, compassion, and clinical insight as you move toward greater clarity and healing.

Welcome to therapy! I'm Dr. Stephanie. My therapeutic style can be summed up in three words: engaging, non-judgmental, and compassionate. With a background in both psychoanalysis and cognitive behavioral therapy, I believe in using these approaches interchangeably to provide quality and thorough therapy to my clients. I firmly believe that success in therapy is grounded in these two approaches, where the goal is for you to understand how your thoughts impact your feelings, and how your feelings, in turn, impact your behavior. I look forward to working together and supporting you on your journey.
I am a compassionate therapist dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges with care, understanding, and practical guidance. My approach is grounded in Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness.
I am a graduate of Fort Valley State University, where I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling, and I bring over four years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
I believe that our past experiences, including trauma, can shape how we show up in our daily lives. In our work together, we gently explore those experiences and how they may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors today. At the same time, I focus on helping you discover positive, healthy ways to cope, grow, and move forward.
Using CBT, we work to recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns. Through mindfulness, I help you stay present and connected to yourself, especially during overwhelming moments. Reality Therapy and solution-focused techniques allow us to focus on what’s within your control, identify your needs, and create realistic, meaningful changes.
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. My goal is to walk alongside you as you build self-awareness, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
