Dr. Patricia Frell Moransais PsyD. M.S. R.N.
(My patients call me Patsy.)
I will give you the tools to change your world.
My philosophy is practical and straightforward
with an emphasis on personal responsibility.
My approach is caring and supportive, but firm and result oriented.
My aim is to first help clients feel heard, understood, and supported in their goals. Then, I aim to provide evidence based interventions to equip them with the tools necessary to help them feel stronger, and empowered to face life's challenges.
The decision to start therapy is a courageous one. I create an open and safe environment for you to embark on your therapeutic journey. In my practice I take a strength-based approach to help you learn and grow. I am interested in exploring who you are as an individual and helping you get where you want to be. Together I hope to build a respectful and collaborative therapeutic alliance.
In this journey called life, we often deal with unexpected crises such as COVID, job loss, death of a loved one, aging family members, health issues and ongoing life transitions. Welcome to Life University where often we are never prepared for the lessons being taught. That's where I come in to help with providing coping skills and resources that assist with managing the unexpected.
Many of the technique that are used: Mindfulness, Cognitive, Strength-Based therapies and Solution Focused.
My background consist of working with clients dealing with anxiety, chronic illness, grief, anxiety and life transitions. I have facilitated teen behavioral and adult support groups. My goal is to provide the resources and tools to help you create an environment of well-being. I'm excited to be working with you through this journey.
In the over 18 years of working in behavioral health as a behavior analyst, a licensed mental health counselor, and now as a licensed clinical psychologist, I have had the privilege of collaborating with children, adolescents, adults, and parents in a variety of settings and in various stages of life. Regardless of the setting, what I have found is that we are all attempting to use what we see as our best resources to navigate and improve our world or the world of those that we care about.
