Hi, I’m Joanna Fils-Aime, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker & therapist based in Washington, D.C. For over 10 years, I’ve supported teens and women from diverse backgrounds, especially those navigating complex trauma, relationship wounds, identity issues, anxiety, depression, and the pressure of showing up while feeling overwhelmed or exhausted.
Therapy with me is a partnership built on honest conversations, practical tools, and steady support as you do the work of healing and growth at your own pace.
I am licensed in District of Columbia with 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & anger management. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strength. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical social worker in Virginia & DC. I possess over 5 years of mental health experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. I have worked in a variety of settings such as: schools, inpatient hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, and residential facilities.
I provide psychiatric care rooted in a deep respect for your identity, values, and lived experience. As a Yale-trained physician, I bring an evidence-based and thoughtful approach to clinical practice that is also nonjudgmental and affirming. Whether you’re seeking clarity or support, I’m here to work with you collaboratively.
Malcolm is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with dual board certification in Family Practice. I am a native New Yorker with over 20 years of healthcare experience. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide compassionate and evidence-based care for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and life transitions. I believe in creating a safe, collaborative space where you feel heard and supported. My approach combines clinical expertise with genuine empathy to help you reach emotional balance and overall well-being. I’m committed to helping clients build insight, develop coping strategies, and achieve meaningful change at their own pace
My name is Randall (Randy) Dunkle, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) currently licensed in Washington, DC and Maryland. I’ve been providing mental health services for over nine years, beginning my career in Integrated Dual Diagnosis and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT). That early work supporting individuals with complex needs involving both mental illness and substance use shaped my belief in meeting people with compassion, flexibility, and respect for their lived experience.
After several intense yet deeply rewarding years in community-based care, I transitioned into private practice, where I continue to work with individuals and couples seeking clarity, healing, and meaningful change. At RWD Wellness, we offer affirming therapy for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, while also providing inclusive, evidence-based care to adults from all walks of life.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported exactly as you are. Your story matters, and our work together is guided by collaboration, trust, and authenticity.
My interest is to provide a supportive and collaborative approach to therapy so we can work to address issues such as anxiety, depression, past traumas, grief and loss, and parenting and relationship challenges. I appreciate working with people going through periods of transition and those hoping to implement lasting change. Although I enjoy working with people to build better relationships, I do not do couples counseling.
