I have a heart to see breakthrough, healing, and freedom for my clients. I have 20+ years history of working with adolescents and adults with learning differences: neurodivergence, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and executive functioning deficits. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with trauma, abuse, identity, and somatic issues.
I'm so glad you're ready to take action! Starting therapy is courageous. My goal is to walk alongside you and encourage you further. I consider my role as therapist an immense privilege, and seeing people grow and heal through therapy never gets old!
I'm Caitlyn Champion, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) offering telehealth psychiatric care throughout Colorado and in-person services in Parker, CO. I specialize in working with women, children, and teens, providing medication management and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that are thoughtful, collaborative, and never rushed.
Before opening my practice, I spent years overseeing the inpatient psychiatric unit at Children's Hospital Colorado—one of the country's leading pediatric hospitals. That experience shaped how I practice: with patience, genuine curiosity, and a deep respect for how hard it can be to ask for help. I also worked in community mental health, which strengthened my commitment to accessible, insurance-supported care for people at every stage of their journey.
I treat ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma, and more. For children and teens, I also offer therapy rooted in CBT and Internal Family Systems. And for families looking for something a little different, I offer equine-assisted therapy on a case-by-case basis—a uniquely grounding option, especially for young clients.
After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colorado State University, I worked in the corporate world as a business consultant. While working as a consultant, I frequently observed how people’s hectic work schedules and day-to-day stressors could slowly wear them down emotionally, resulting in their happiness being compromised.
Seeing this trend in the business world, coupled with the passion I’ve always had for understanding people’s thinking and way of doing things, prompted me to pursue my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from University of Colorado Denver. Now with my professional experience and educational background, I can more easily navigate how to handle the day-to-day stressors and help my clients manage the mental health piece of their lives.
I became a licensed professional counselor because I am passionate about helping adults who have the desire to have balance in their life.
Dealing with life challenges is overwhelming. And sometimes it is difficult to get back on track especially when you find yourself short of your expectations. The influence of culture, society and technology can create a false sense of personal inadequacy.

I came to counseling after having already completed a successful career and was looking for something different. I completed graduate school in Texas and have since become licensed in both Texas and Colorado. The majority of my work is in general counseling and I also work with couples and families. I have worked for University of Texas schools as well as for the University of Alabama. While working in the UT system schools I helped with veterans issues and transition to civilian life. During Covid I provided counseling for military families and first responders.
My mindfulness-based therapeutic practice integrates a body-centered approach with Buddhist psychological models. Bringing awareness to the present moment in each session supports the observation of thoughts and impulses in real time as they come up. We’ll collaborate as we gain a deeper and more subtle understanding and felt-sense of the unfolding patterns that appear. Cultivating a relationship based on trust and open communication is the foundation of my compassionate and direct method.
I am a bilingual Health Psychologist. I examine how biological, social, and psychological issues that influence your well-being. In other words, I consider all of you. I am highly focused on how context and the larger systems impact your identity; choosing interventions that match your worldviews and lived experiences. I have a powerful ability to sit with your story and hold the space needed to heal. Working with me invites you to move beyond “good enough” and achieve deep lasting self-agency.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in mental health and trauma, I provide compassionate, client-centered care. I believe healing is a holistic process that addresses both mind and body. Working collaboratively with clients, I create a safe space to explore experiences and heal from past wounds.
