I approach "problems" as ineffective solutions or "symptoms" as expressing what we cannot with words. Our work will be to locate those words. And speak them.
I started my career working with foster youth, helping provide skills for leaving the foster system and finding success in their adult lives. Over the years, I gained experience working at hospice, doing grief counseling, working at a mental health and substance abuse hospital, working at schools, in private practice, and leading community anxiety groups. I am married and have three kids which provides me with a source of learning every day in how to develop patience, understanding, communication, self awareness, and self care.
Having been in therapy myself, I've experienced firsthand its positive impact, helping me overcome my anxiety and equipping me with practical tools I still use today. I understand that repeatedly answering 'How does that make you feel?' can be frustrating. Drawing from my personal experience both as a therapy client and practitioner in a treatment center setting, I bring energy into my sessions and build momentum to help clients get unstuck and face their Anxiety & OCD with confidence.
