Much can happen in life that we never saw coming and/or that never wanted for ourselves. I believe that in spite of this, there is still a greater hope.
As your therapist, I will collaborate with you in your journey to regain and nourish that hope as you seek healing, clarity, and change. Together, we will establish a safe environment to explore the issues that are consuming you, set goals toward change, learn more about yourself and your values, find clarity, and equip you with the tools you need to keep going.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I have worked in the field of social work helping individuals and families of individuals going through chronic illness, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, caregiving, communication issues, relationship issues, financial stressors, burn-out, and self-care. My experience has been mostly with adults, ages 18 – 80, but I also have some experience working with teenagers (16 and older) and couples.
I am a first-generation Latina LCSW and mother dedicated to supporting adults in navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges.
I have a passion for helping individuals heal from trauma and navigate changes in their life. I have extensive training in trauma informed modalities, and have had excellent outcomes.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Orange County, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, relationship issues, substance abuse/addiction, and trauma.
My communication style is calm, accommodating, and reassuring. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.
I decided to become a therapist because I have always wanted to help people. Whether it was as an epidemiologist working with the physically ill, mentoring high school students in relational and life decisions, or being a loyal friend, I have always naturally been drawn to helping people through difficult times. Now, as a therapist, I get to enjoy seeing people realize their full potential, heal from their pain, and identify and begin working toward a new future of hope for themselves.
My name is Mariana Nogueira, LCSW, and I am a bilingual therapist with over a decade of experience working with individuals and families navigating trauma, grief, immigration, chronic illness, and major life transitions. I received my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento, and have extensive training in trauma-focused therapies and mindfulness-based approaches.
Over the years, I have worked in hospice care, hospital settings, cancer centers, community mental health, and with immigrant and undocumented communities. These experiences have deeply shaped my commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy.
I specialize in supporting adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, burnout, identity transitions, or who feel caught between cultures.
My journey to becoming a therapist began years before I attended college. From an early age, I found myself listening to others and offering suggestions. I have spent many years working with individuals in various capacities. Once I began my career, it was clear that the helping profession was the right fit, as I enjoy working with people. I consider it a privilege to work with clients who choose to open up and share some of the most difficult and painful parts of their lives with me. I am often reminded of why I do this work each time I meet a client and I hear their story and learn how they have coped. I am in awe of how resilient people are in the midst of their storms. My education to become a therapist includes obtaining a Masters degree in clinical social work as well as a license in clinical social work. In addition, I hold a doctorate in education which allows me to integrate my clinical expertise along with psychoeducation into my practice.
