Hi! My name is Teri Johnson. I have been helping people to achieve stepping into the best version of themselves for over 25 years. My approach is rooted in positive psychology and development of an affirming sense of self. I have worked with individuals and families from all walks of life in overcoming addiction, negative self-image, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and those lifelong messages that we can be burdened with today. Together we can unravel harmful experiences that are impacting who you genuinely are. I believe each person holds the strength and power to live their best life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of clinical experience specializing in addiction, gambling disorder, trauma, mood disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I am passionate about helping individuals and families break free from cycles of addiction and emotional pain so they can reclaim their lives with purpose, connection, and hope.
From an early age, I carried the rare gift of deep empathy—feeling the emotions of others. Strangers would approach me, compelled to share their pain, trusting they would be heard without judgment. My travels across cultures sharpened this gift. I witnessed injustice and inequity impacting many lives thus strengthening my resolve to create meaningful change. I bring both skill and heart to every therapeutic relationship.

Hello. My name is Mary ‘Sarah’ Houston. I have been a Mental Health nurse for 20 years. I have been a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) since November, 2016. As a PMHNP, I have worked inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, along with working at a crisis stabilization unit for mental health crises. As well, I have training in mental health Telehealth. I have worked with clients with depression, anxiety, insomnia, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, substance use disorder, and PTSD.
I have a passion to help those with emotional and mental health needs.
I believe healing happens best in the context of honesty, safety, and genuine connection. My goal is to be both personable and grounded as I walk alongside you through the wounds and challenges that come with living in a broken world.
I have been providing therapy services since 2009. My professional journey began in Texas, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. Although I originally planned to pursue youth ministry, I felt clearly called to shift into the field of therapy—where I could help individuals, couples, and families experience lasting change and restoration.
In 2010, I relocated to Arizona and began working in a residential treatment setting with adolescent girls from severely broken and traumatic backgrounds. That experience deeply shaped my clinical approach and reinforced my passion for helping people heal at both the personal and relational levels. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving individuals, couples, and families in the Prescott area.
For clients who desire it, I am happy to respectfully integrate faith and spirituality into therapy. My aim is always to meet you where you are and support your growth in a way that feels safe, meaningful, and aligned with your values.
