Welcome! Taking those first steps to improving one’s mental health can be hard, so I’m glad you’re here. As a licensed professional counselor for over 20 years, I’ve worked with teenagers and adults, helping them navigate the highs and lows of everyday life.
Greetings, I am Felicia Thomas, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with the AZBBHE. I vow to offer a safe space for you to share, be, and feel seen. I am person-centered and usually say that I have a trauma lens. Meaning, often times we go through some hard stuff and may appear okay to the naked eye, but inside there's so much anxiety and depression. I goal to help you understand you, to normalize what you are experiencing, and to join you on a path to healing.
I’m a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), currently completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice. I’ve worked in primary care, behavioral health, and community medicine, giving me a strong whole-person approach to mental health.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive training in trauma recovery, parts work, somatic interventions, guided imagery and music, contemplative care, and shame-informed treatment. I specialize in midlife transitions, identity shifts, familial estrangement, trauma histories, and the effects of chronic stress on the body and sense of self. My work moves beyond the medical model to honor your nervous system, your story, and your resilience. With a grounded and authentic style shaped by years in community mental health, crisis support, and depth-oriented practice, I offer a collaborative space where we explore meaning, reconnect with inner wisdom, and support a more empowered and embodied way of being.
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT 123208. I worked as a teacher and decided to go back to school and continue my education, to enable me to work with families, couples and individuals in a therapeutic setting. My focus is family, marriage and couples counseling. I have experience working with families that have unconventional lifestyles. In addition, I have experience working with couples, teens, groups and children. I have worked with the school district as a mental health counselor, as well as conducted group therapy in all settings. I am trained in Gottman Method for Couples and Bariatric Assessment certified.

I am available via online or in person and licensed in California and Arizona.
