Are you feeling stuck between who you are and who you know you were meant to be? I help clients grappling with meaning, mortality, authenticity, and purpose. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I specialize in depression, anxieties, and addictions that have these deeper existential roots. I help people struggling with shame, loneliness, heartbreak, aging, illness, grief, and loss of meaning build a life worth living and a Self worth living it. I believe in building new skills. But my ultimate aim is to help you find and liberate your higher Self.
Krystin Cuthrell is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose work is shaped by a lifelong connection to movement and creative expression. She began her career as a ballet instructor and later spent more than a decade teaching yoga, experiences that deepened her understanding of embodiment, compassion, and the mind–body relationship.
She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville State University in 2023 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of the Cumberlands. Krystin primarily supports traditional and non‐traditional college students, specializing in religious trauma, body‐image concerns, identity development, self‐compassion, and LGBTQIA+‐affirming care.
Grounded in expressive arts and mindful, strengths‐based approaches, she also presents at local and state-wide conferences on the importance of self‐care for helping professionals.
I believe people can grow and change at any point in their lives. I’m not here to “fix” you. I’m here to help you reconnect with your strengths, rewrite old patterns, and move toward a life that feels more like your own.
My approach is grounded in compassion and collaboration. I focus on what’s working, what matters to you, and what small steps can help you feel better—mentally, emotionally, and relationally.
You don’t have to show up perfectly. You don’t have to have all the answers. Just showing up is enough. I’ll meet you with presence, not pressure. We’ll move at your pace, but always with purpose. I bring honesty and encouragement to each conversation.
I also bring lived experience and deep belief in people’s capacity to grow—even when things have felt stuck for a long time. Whether you're just starting therapy or returning after some time away, I'm here to support you.
Hi, I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can feel difficult, especially if you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time. With over 20 years of experience in social work and mental health, I’ve worked with individuals and families navigating trauma, stress, and life challenges in both community and clinical settings.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard. Together, we’ll work at your pace to better understand what you’re going through and begin building a path forward that feels manageable and meaningful.
Clients seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, or PTSD should know that I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) bringing a uniquely informed perspective to remote care. My six years within the VA system and my background as an Army Retiree have given me specialized expertise in managing the complex challenges often associated with trauma, high-stress environments, and chronic mental health issues.
