Hello! I am Dr. Sasha Mondragon and completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2012 and my postdoctoral fellowship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas in 2013. My postdoctoral fellowship specialty was treating trauma and anxiety among Veterans. Following my training, I worked at a private practice in Pittsburgh, PA for many years and currently own a private practice in Texas. I am honored to help people navigate life transitions, stressors, trauma, grief, and symptoms of anxiety and depression.

As your therapist, I want you to know that my goal is to provide a supportive, honest, and empowering space where you can safely grow and heal. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience working in substance abuse treatment, addiction recovery, and couples therapy. I am also certified in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) and trauma-informed care. I bring a direct yet compassionate approach to therapy—one that is motivating, empathetic, and grounded in humility. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Psychology at Grand Canyon University, which continues to strengthen my clinical skills and deepen my commitment to helping clients create lasting change. My practice is built on respect, collaboration, and the belief that everyone has the capacity to transform their life.
With over 22 years of experience in social work, I offer a calm, supportive, and practical approach to therapy for teens and adults navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported.
Much of my professional background has been in the public school system, where I worked closely with children and adolescents using brief, solution-focused therapy, emotional and practical support, and advocacy. This experience allows me to connect easily with teens while also helping adults—especially parents, caregivers, and professionals—navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Texas and my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, with an emphasis on practical tools, insight-building, and helping clients feel more grounded in their daily lives.
Whether you are a teen feeling overwhelmed by school or social pressures, or an adult managing anxiety, burnout, or life changes, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where growth feels possible and progress feels attainable!
I have an M.Ed. in Counseling. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, mood disorders, grief, PTSD, family dynamic problems, couples, parent-child relationships and more. I strive to help my clients learn the skills to work with whatever life throws at them.
You might be here because you're navigating a major life transition — trying to get pregnant, adjusting to motherhood, or feeling burnt out from it all!
These seasons can feel overwhelming, isolating, and confusing, especially when you're used to being the one who has it all together.
I specialize in supporting women experiencing anxiety, burnout, life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, and the unique stressors that come with new motherhood. Whether you're feeling emotionally exhausted, struggling with identity changes, experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety, or feeling stuck during a life transition, therapy can help you regain clarity and confidence. As a new mom who also lives with anxiety- I get you and I see you! You are not alone and there is a way through!
My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what you're experiencing and reconnect with yourself. Together, we work to help you feel more grounded, confident, and aligned with the life you want to create.
Kindness and empathy, two qualities I hold in high regard, are the pillars of my practice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, gaining extensive experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness. I have also come to understand the importance of guiding others through crises. I am here to help you realize your potential and achieve your goals, no matter how daunting they may seem.
