Hi! My name is Heather Comer. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who values connection and relationships. I obtained my degree from the University of Houston in 2018 and continue to learn and develop new skills in an effort to enhance client's experiences in therapy.
I incorporate evidenced-based modalities for treatment, with a splash of humor - because laughter is also healing.
I was born and raised in San Antonio and proudly served in the U.S. Army, where I developed a strong sense of discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to serving others. As a Veteran, I bring a unique perspective and a nuanced understanding of military culture to my counseling work.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending weekends with my family—especially cheering on my son at his baseball games. These moments remind me of the importance of connection, joy, and presence, all of which I strive to bring into the counseling process.
I became a counselor to be a steady, grounded presence for those on the path of healing. My approach centers on fostering growth, resilience, and inner peace. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and provide specialized support for individuals navigating trauma, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I saw several movies with therapist as the main character.
I believe change happens when we all work together to help each other.
Clients who get the most out of therapy with me are clients with variety of different issues and concerns.
Three words that describe my style are cultural competency, empathy and effective listening skills.
Something about me that is unique is I have ran several 10K and 5K races and running is a hobby and passion of mine.
Howdy! My name is Jacob Jones and I'm an LCSW, got my bachelor's in sociology from UNT and my MSW from UTA. I worked in the homeless community, long term care and hospice and am now happy to provide therapy to individuals, couples and families. In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading and playing music and video games.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of treatment settings, including community mental health, residential, and acute care environments. My background includes leadership, clinical supervision, crisis intervention, and comprehensive treatment planning, which allows me to support clients with both immediate concerns and long-term growth.
I specialize in working with mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, anger management, and major life transitions. I also have extensive experience supporting adolescents and families navigating emotional regulation, defiance, impulsivity, and interpersonal conflict. My approach is structured yet compassionate, helping clients feel both supported and empowered.
In therapy, I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and trauma-informed care. I believe in meeting clients where they are, building a strong therapeutic relationship, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space where real change can happen. My goal is to help you gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and move toward the life you want with confidence and stability.
Whether you’re facing stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to walk alongside you with understanding, professionalism, and care.
