I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting children, families, and adults in schools, community programs, and inpatient treatment settings. With master’s degrees in human Behaviors & Conflict Management and Professional Counseling, I take an open‐minded and collaborative approach to care.

FOUR DECADES/FIVE LIVES:
My first clinical life, I provided in home behavior management training to families with children with developmental disorders.
Secondly, I provided individual and group therapy for neglected/abused teenagers in residential care.
Thirdly, I provided therapy to clients, in a community based practice.
Number four involved working as a therapist for the Aspergers Department of a CMHC.
My fifth/current journey began in 2013, providing therapy and clinical supervision.

I’ve been working as a clinician for 30 years and have been heavily trained through various working environments, along with bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a masters degree from South University in Professional Counseling. I’ve had various credentials throughout my professional development, including a masters in addiction counseling, also certified as a emotional freedom technique practitioner, and also certified animal assisted therapist I have extensive knowledge in trauma, grief and anxiety. I’m holistic in nature, but do have specific modalities that I use such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, client centered care, trauma informed care, along with mind and body techniques, such as somatic exercise and creative outlets .
I received my BA degree in Psychology from Columbia College and my MA degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to supporting adult women through life’s challenges with a compassionate, empowering, and trauma-informed approach. I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood, and I strive to create that environment for every client I work with. I have experience working with women in a correctional facility and in a private practice setting. I have also worked with adolescent males in the juvenile justice system, adolescent girls, and children in a school setting.
