Hi, and welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. My name is Nate, and I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey. Healing and growth are possible—sometimes it starts with just one small step forward.
A little about me: I hold a Master’s in Social Work, a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. My passion is helping people who are hurting find hope, strength, and clarity. If you’re here, it likely means you’re ready for change, and that’s a courageous first step. Let’s begin this work together.
I received My Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health Science because I care so much about the Earth and the creatures that inhabit it. But I soon realized that if I was not interacting with people (or animals) that the work I was doing seemed irrelevant.
Then caring for my terminally ill stepmother led me first towards nursing, then to Social Work.
Since getting my MSW, I have worked In a wide variety of settings ranging from domestic violence shelters to a medical hospital to a homeless day center. I believe that despite our varied backgrounds and beliefs, we are all good at the core and want to be physically and emotionally healthy in order to make the most of our lives. Some of us have learned bad habits by being told, or telling ourselves, that certain things are not possible or us and that is rarely the case.
I am passionate about empowering women of all ages to pursue health and healing while navigating the journey towards positive growth. Through my practice, I specialize in addressing various challenges including, but not limited to, women’s issues, depression, anxiety, parenting struggles, low self-esteem, trauma, survivors of domestic violence, and grief. My approach integrates Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Problem Solving, Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. By combining these modalities, I aim to support each individual in identifying and achieving their personal goals. I received a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Belmont Abbey College and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir Rhyne University.
