I am a licensed doctoral level therapist who specializes in helping individuals heal from trauma, depression, and anxiety. My practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for those struggling with emotional and psychological challenges. Together, we will work toward building resilience, restoring balance, and improving your overall well-being.
I have a passion for coming alongside women with complex needs including trauma, domestic violence, PTSD, faith-based abuse, identity concerns, anxiety, and depression. I believe therapy is a journey, and my role is to walk beside you—offering support, insight, and empowerment as you find your way toward healing and wholeness.
I work with motivated individuals seeking relief from chronic pain as well as reduced stress and anxiety in their personal lives or at work. Chronic pain conditions that I treat include but are not limited to neck and back pain, headaches, pelvic pain, IBS, tinnitus, and fibromyalgia.
My approach is very goal and solution-oriented.
I am licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Addictions Specialist. It is my goal as a therapist to assist individuals on their journey of finding more balance in life. I have over a decade of experience in mental health and specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also offer distance counseling and nature based therapy for individuals who would benefit from the flexibility due to busy schedules or prefer therapy outside of a conventional office setting. I strive to help individuals address feelings of being overwhelmed by life's demands and begin working towards the life they envision for themselves.
Hi, I’m Liz! I help clients heal from past trauma and uncover the root of what’s keeping them feeling stuck. Trauma can shape the way you see yourself, others, and the world—often showing up as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or difficulty setting healthy boundaries.
My work focuses on addressing these deeper patterns to support lasting healing and meaningful personal growth. For those who desire it, I also offer the option to integrate Christian faith into the counseling process.
I believe therapy should not only be effective but also feel human and approachable. We’ll roll up our sleeves and do the work together, while also making space for moments of lightness along the way.
I approach mental health from a unique perspective: the intersection of human biology and systems theory. My career began as an Exercise Physiologist, where I worked in Cardiac Rehabilitation. I realized early on that you cannot effectively treat the mind if you ignore the body’s most fundamental systems—specifically, how we rest and how we move.
Today, as a Certified Clinical Sleep Health professional and therapist, I specialize in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Whether I’m working with an adult navigating burnout or a family struggling with a child’s sleep routine, my focus is on the "outside-in" approach—optimizing your environment and biology to improve your mental and emotional well-being.
Education & Clinical Training
My academic and professional foundation is built on understanding the intersection of the mind and body:
My years of experience of working in the community as a social worker and as a therapist has provided the opportunity to observe and understand the various dynamics that life offers one from need and challenges to accomplishment and triumph. In working with diverse populations, I am able to genuinely offer sympathy and empathy without compromising the therapeutic relationship. Our society today is in search of helpers who can relate, adapt and show genuine care.
I am glad you are here. I specialize in addressing ADHD, trauma therapy, parenting skills, and education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Strength-Based Approaches to promote wellness in clients to help others feel better.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and Florida with 7 years of professional experience working with clients via telehealth. I work with adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
