It can feel daunting to begin therapy. You may know you are struggling with your relationships, work, or personal fulfillment yet it can feel difficult to seek help. In my practice, I will work with you in a safe space to explore and address the difficulties the prevent you from living a fulfilling life. I utilize eclectic approaches including psychodynamic, relational, existential, and attachment-based theories.
I integrate specialized approaches in my work with folks who identify as Muslim, Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian. I provide a non-judgmental and safe space for LGBTQ, kink, and poly persons of color in my practice. I have personal and professional experience with acculturation and specialize in providing cross-cultural therapy for biracial/bi-cultural issues.
I work with adults struggling with anxiety, sexual disorders, chronic medical conditions, bereavement, trauma, and relationships.
I am an empathetic English/Spanish bilingual clinician with experience working with children, adolescents, women, couples, and families. I support individuals with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions and substance use. My experience includes working in medication assisted treatment programs, where I've supported individuals through recovery, relapse prevention, and building healthier coping strategies.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and affirming space where you can
I have a masters in education and social work. I was a New York City public school teacher prior to becoming a social worker. My heart and soul drive my practice and I love what I do!
Welcome! I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2014. I received my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2011 after completing my undergraduate education in Psychology & English in 2009.
I am particularly passionate about working with college & college-bound students as well as recent college graduates. I am also very passionate about working with women, particularly for mental health related to pregnancy, postpartum health, sexual health & mom life.
Are you a college student feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or completely burned out? Or maybe you’re a new or expecting mom trying to make sense of the emotional and identity shifts that come with pregnancy and motherhood? You don’t have to navigate it all on your own.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I work primarily with college and graduate students, young professionals, (including other therapists) middle-aged adults, and mothers who are moving through some of life’s most challenging seasons. That might look like painful transitions, traumatic experiences, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, or relationship struggles. Together, we make space for what feels heavy — and begin to untangle it with care.
In addition to my trauma background, I have specialized training in grief counseling, eating disorders, and suicide prevention and education. I also offer faith-based counseling for clients who would like to integrate their Christianity into the therapeutic process. I have a special interest in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the complex mental health experiences that can accompany early motherhood.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where you can explore what’s been weighing on you and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
