Hi, I’m Kaliym Howell, PMHNP. I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in inpatient psychiatry and outpatient medication management. I specialize in treating anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma-related conditions, and life transitions using a calm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach. My goal is to provide thoughtful, personalized care that helps you gain clarity, stability, and long-term wellness.
I was born and raised in Montana and have a genuine passion for nature and the outdoors. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at Montana State University in 2001. I then pursued my Masters of Social Work degree and graduated in 2008 from the University of Montana. This graduate program had a focus on providing a social justice and integrated practitioner perspective. I have an eclectic style that can be tailored to each unique individual. My primary therapeutic methods include Mindfulness Based, Holistic, Exposure, Narrative, Cognitive and Behavioral, Strengths Based & Solution Focused Therapies. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment that often helps people feel comfortable. A true passion of mine is structuring therapeutic activities for clients to express, process, increase self-awareness, and de-stress from life’s challenging and developmental experiences.
As a licensed psychotherapist, I’ve spent over 15 years helping individuals strengthen their emotional well-being and reclaim a sense of clarity, purpose, and stability. Reaching out for support is often the hardest step, and the fact that you’re here already speaks to your strength and readiness for change. Over the past decade, my clinical focus has centered on treating anxiety and depression across all ages, with a deep appreciation for how uniquely these struggles show up in each person’s life.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
In 2009 I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Community and Youth Development from Nazareth University in 2009. This training shaped my holistic understanding of human development, relationships, and the meaningful role that community, purpose, and life experiences play in mental health.
In 2014 I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University, where I developed a solid foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices and client-centered care. With this educational background and years of personal experience, I developed a strong passion for supporting others.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of healthcare experience and a strong medical background, currently providing psychiatric care in an outpatient clinical setting. My experience helps me recognize the vital link between mental and physical health, allowing me to deliver thoughtful, comprehensive care to my patients.
I focus on treating individuals with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, burnout, and mood disorders through thorough psychiatric assessments, medication management, and supportive therapy. My aim is to foster a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected.
I believe mental health treatment is most effective when it is collaborative and personalized. I work closely with each client to develop a tailored treatment plan that promotes emotional well-being, stability, and an improved quality of life.
telehealth psychiatry, mental health nurse practitioner in New York, helping patients through virtual care, accepting insurance, medication management for anxiety and depression, adult ADHD and bipolar disorder treatment, trauma and PTSD management, women's mental health, postpartum depression, and integrated psychiatry services.
My name is Gabriella, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I think everyone needs support and safe spaces so through this helping profession I have experience working with people of varying backgrounds including justice involvement and supporting families as well.
I have expertise supporting people to work through transitions, relationship challenges, and all the emotions that come with these, and more. I often take a holistic approach utilizing what fits best for each person.
I utilize a multi-theoretical basis for all my clients. For my practice, trust, warmth and communication are the foundations of a good therapeutic relationship. I have a specialty in child/adolescent/family issues. However, I see many young adults who have issues feeling at ease and confident in their relationships and workplace. I endeavor to lift my clients out of the dark place that may be weighing them down to finding the solutions that will enable them to live freely.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York specializing in the treatment of anxiety and OCD, particularly when worry, overthinking, guilt, or mental loops begin to interfere with daily life, relationships, and self-confidence. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in patterns of needing certainty, control, or reassurance—and feel exhausted by how much mental space anxiety takes up.
I also support individuals navigating life transitions, including relationship challenges, family dynamics, and the pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum period. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or struggling with perfectionism and self-doubt, therapy can be a place to slow things down and create meaningful change.
My approach to therapy is straight forward, solution focused and empathetic. I understand that life can throw you curves and living with change and uncertainty can lead you down an unfamiliar path. 2021 has been a year of change, adjustment, stress and hardship. If you are tired of working on your issues alone, now may be the time to seek out help. In fact, you are making a courageous first step. You may not know what to do to make your life better, you just know that you want things to change and you want to be happier and healthier. I can help you sort out what steps you need to take to identify and address your issues.
I view therapy as an active, engaging and collaborative process. People say that I am not like other therapists. "He worked hard to see me, hear me, understand my issues and accept me for who I am. He did not sit back and say uh-huh every few minutes. Together we found solutions to long standing problems."
Trusting relationships do matter and from the beginning of the therapy process. I work hard to provide a safe and caring place to talk. I typically spend the first session getting to know who you are, where you want to be, and what is standing in your way of getting unstuck. Call me today and discover if I am the right resource for you.
I am a trauma therapist who helps adults heal from painful experiences, long standing emotional patterns ,and the stress that can build up in both the mind and the body.
My style is warm, direct , and thoughtful, and I work with clients who want more than symptom relief - they want deeper understanding, lasting change, and a stronger sense of self. I also bring a wellness perspective to therapy, recognizing the impact of stress, sleep, lifestyle and the nervous system health on emotional well-being.
