NYU Graduate and Post- Graduate Clinical Professor
Director of the Post- MAster's Program in Addictions- NYU
My philosophy is to approach each person as an individual with his or her own ability/willingness/readiness to work through the issues at hand. I believe our thought process can be our own worst enemy at times and I work to assist the client to be more aware of the pitfalls of these negatively charged thoughts. I combine a range of therapeutic approaches based on your distinct needs of the client. I provide counseling services for those looking to reduce and manage anxiety and depression, develop affirmative overall functioning, and obtain assistance in confronting life trials.
I have worked with ages 5-99, in school settings, residential and out-patient settings as well as detention settings. As a School Counselor for the past 20 years, I have worked with students and parents to navigate through a myriad of familial, relational and school related issues.

Hi, I’m Rebecca, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey. I believe that mental health is the foundation of overall wellness and plays a vital role in helping us thrive in every area of life. I view therapy as a space for growth and self-discovery—one where anyone can take steps toward bettering themselves, even when the timing doesn’t feel perfect. There’s never a “right” time to start, only a meaningful choice to start where you are.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who values creating a space where clients can show up exactly as they are. I believe therapy is both a refuge and a process of rediscovery—a space to pause, make meaning, and reconnect with yourself. My clients often describe me as warm, intuitive, and grounded, yet also honest and direct when it’s time to challenge old narratives that no longer serve them.
My background spans over a decade in clinical social work, program leadership, and supervision. These experiences allow me to bring both depth and practicality to therapy—helping clients integrate emotional insight with real-world change. I’m especially drawn to supporting adults navigating trauma recovery, burnout, major transitions, and patterns of self-silencing who are ready to reclaim their voice and balance.
I earned my Masters Degree in Social Work at Fordham University and have since gained valuable experience working with individuals and families in a variety of settings.
I provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care, and draw from several modalities, depending on client needs. I have training in CBT, DBT, EFIT, psychodynamics, and am certified in trauma-focused CBT. I have experience treating a variety of diagnoses, specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and attachment issues.
My practice typically sees individuals with various mental health concerns requiring appropriate diagnosis, counselling and medication management. We treat individuals with various mental health conditions including, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post traumatic stress disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The goal of my practice is to work collaboratively with clients and families to develop individualized treatment plans that improves social and occupational wellbeing.
