When life gives you lemons...
My education gave me the tools to be a skilled clinician. But it was my own trauma that gave me the insight and depth I bring to this work. I know what it feels like to live in a body that doesn’t feel safe—to question everything, including yourself. I spent over a decade learning how to heal, reclaim my voice, and become the kind of guide I once needed.
In the midst of that long journey, I had a quiet moment of clarity: what I was going through wasn’t just about survival—it was about becoming someone who could walk with others through the dark. That experience grounds my work in both knowledge and deep compassion.
Learning to love the desert
I’ve come to believe that being lost isn’t a problem—it’s part of the path. Like La Loba, the mythical bone-gatherer who wanders the desert collecting what’s been buried and brings it back to life, I help others gather what they’ve lost along the way. That process is sacred, slow, and often surprising—but it’s how we come home to ourselves.
There are parts of you that haven’t died; they’ve just been waiting. And sometimes, when it all falls apart, that’s when the wild, wise parts of you rise again.
If you find it difficult to make sense of things and experience varying emotions as a result, come talk to me. Together, we will work on strategies, develop coping skills, and address the root causes of your difficulties and stresses.
I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Oakland University and my Master’s in Social Work from Madonna University. I have been a practicing social worker for four years, and during this time have received several certifications including: school social work, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools. Based on my experience, I specialize in working with adolescents and children; however, I am confident in my education and ability to help clients of all ages.
I am a clinical social worker and graduated from the University of Michigan School of Social Work where I focused on early childhood development and family practice. I have training in, child development, attachment theory, play therapy, mindfulness, infant and child-parent psychotherapy, perinatal and postpartum transitions, mind-body techniques, couples therapy and trauma-focused therapies.
I specialize in helping with all types of relationships, anxiety, stress, sex and intimacy. I also offer Christian counseling and have a heart for those who have experienced hurt or rejection from faith communities.
I’m a licensed therapist in private practice who works with teens and adults navigating trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and substance use concerns. I have a special focus on supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as people who have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood, “too much,” or not quite fitting into the spaces around them.
I am neurodivergent myself, and that lived experience shapes how I show up in therapy. I understand how exhausting it can be to move through a world that wasn’t built for your nervous system or way of thinking. Because of this, I aim to create a space where you don’t have to mask, explain yourself, or earn safety — you are already welcome as you are.
I use evidence-based approaches including EMDR, DBT, and CBT through a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming lens. I believe there is nothing broken about you; many struggles make sense in the context of past experiences, chronic stress, or unmet needs. My role is to help you understand yourself with more compassion and build tools that actually support your life.
