Hi there! My name is Todd and I am a licensed psychotherapist and IFS-informed therapist.
I effectively treat anxiety, depressive symptoms, compulsive behaviors, and most challenges with Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS, or "parts work" is a revolutionary approach that's not the same as typical talk therapy.
I offer an understanding, compassionate ear in a welcoming virtual setting.
I look forward to meeting you!
You don’t have to keep holding it all together.
If you’ve found your way here, part of you already knows something has to change.
You may be feeling...
• Constantly “on,” even when you try to rest
• Mentally exhausted from overthinking
• Responsible for everything and everyone
• Successful—but not peaceful
• Disconnected from the people you love, even when they’re right in front of you
And you’re tired of carrying it all on your own.
There is another way to live.
Not by pushing harder or figuring everything out—
but by learning how to feel more grounded, supported, and at ease within yourself.
What Working Together Feels Like :
Our work creates a space where you can slow down,
feel what’s actually happening in your mind and body,
and begin to relate to yourself in a more compassionate way.
• You feel more regulated and steady
• Your mind becomes quieter
• You stop carrying everything alone
• You trust yourself more deeply
• You move through life with more ease
Hello: I am Dr. Ken McKellar and I have over 30 years in the Air Force. My background in the Mental Health space goes back to 1991, when I earned a Masters Degree from Boston University's Education Counseling program. I earned a PhD from St Mary's University in San Antonio. I am a licensed LPC in both Michigan and Texas and an LMHC in Florida. In my off time I enjoy golf and attending live music events. I am married and raised three children and have 5 grandchildren.
I'm a psychologist with a background in medical and behavioral health settings. I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite like themselves, often dealing with anxiety, low mood, or like they’ve lost their sense of motivation. Many are navigating health concerns, relationship challenges, stress related to work or school, or major life transitions. I especially enjoy supporting women during pregnancy and postpartum, which can bring a mix of emotional, physical, and identity changes while adjusting to this new phase of life.
I have worked as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for over 8 years in a variety of settings ranging from trauma, impact of addictions on mental and emotional wellbeing, to relationship issues and more. I tend to be laid back and easily approached with no judgement, no criticism and no assumptions.
