My name is Randall (Randy) Dunkle, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) currently licensed in Washington, DC and Maryland. I’ve been providing mental health services for over nine years, beginning my career in Integrated Dual Diagnosis and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT). That early work supporting individuals with complex needs involving both mental illness and substance use shaped my belief in meeting people with compassion, flexibility, and respect for their lived experience.
After several intense yet deeply rewarding years in community-based care, I transitioned into private practice, where I continue to work with individuals and couples seeking clarity, healing, and meaningful change. At RWD Wellness, we offer affirming therapy for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, while also providing inclusive, evidence-based care to adults from all walks of life.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported exactly as you are. Your story matters, and our work together is guided by collaboration, trust, and authenticity.
I provide psychiatric care rooted in a deep respect for your identity, values, and lived experience. As a Yale-trained physician, I bring an evidence-based and thoughtful approach to clinical practice that is also nonjudgmental and affirming. Whether you’re seeking clarity or support, I’m here to work with you collaboratively.
I am an Independent Licensed Social Worker providing therapy for adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, and relationship building. I offer a supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free space where you can explore your experiences, strengthen coping skills, and develop healthy boundaries. My goal is to help communicate more effectively and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Sessions with me often include skill-building, boundary-setting, and addressing gaps created by disparities. Life’s stressors can sometimes feel overwhelming as if you’re being held down. Are you ready to get up?

Looking for a clinician that is down to earth and will challenge you to be your best self. I am here for you. I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience working with individuals and children.
My interest is to provide a supportive and collaborative approach to therapy so we can work to address issues such as anxiety, depression, past traumas, grief and loss, and parenting and relationship challenges. I appreciate working with people going through periods of transition and those hoping to implement lasting change. Although I enjoy working with people to build better relationships, I do not do couples counseling.
