Hello! I believe that therapy is a powerful tool that can be used for growth. However, finding your ideal therapist may be a challenge. My goal is to provide warmth, comfort, and understanding as we work collaboratively through your therapeutic experience. While being licensed in MD, VA, and DC, I am here to help you on your mental health journey.
Hi, I’m Melanie. I’m a therapist, writer, and educator with a passion for helping Christian women move beyond anxiety, trauma, and overwhelming life experiences so they can live with greater peace and clarity. Many of the women I work with are thoughtful, faith-centered individuals who feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together while quietly carrying stress, worry, or past pain.
I earned a Doctor of Education in Community Care and Counseling with a trauma focus, along with a Master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling. My work is informed by trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness practices. For clients who desire it, I also integrate faith and spirituality into the healing process.
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded. I believe therapy should feel like an OASIS — Open And Safe InSide— a place where you can slow down, be honest about what you’re carrying, and begin rebuilding a sense of peace, confidence, and direction.
Outside of therapy, I’m a writer, poet, and speaker who enjoys quiet moments with coffee, popcorn, and the occasional antique shop. Creativity, humor, and reflection are meaningful parts of my life and often influence the way I help clients explore their own stories.
Life’s challenges can often feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate them alone. With experience supporting both children and adults, I specialize in helping individuals manage Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and Adjustment Disorders. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, providing a judgment-free and empathetic space where you feel truly seen and heard.
Life can be messy, and I specialize in helping mamas and survivors of trauma navigate through complicated and uncharted waters. I believe we are all working to be our best selves, and with support and strategies you will get there - you are not alone, and there is hope.
Iesha is passionate about trauma-informed care. She believes in bringing healing to those in need.
I’m glad you’re here. I'm passionate about working with couples and individuals. Cooperatively, we navigate relationships, family issues, trauma, anxiety, depression and more. Healing happens through relationships rooted in reciprocity and respect. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported and understood. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. You don’t need to have everything figured out... we’ll move forward together at a pace that feels right for you.
My work is rooted in helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, while building a deeper sense of clarity and self-trust. I work with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and personality disorders. Using approaches like DBT, CBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing, I offer a supportive, grounded and practical space where clients can explore challenges and build real, sustainable change.
