I’m Emma, Owner and Founder of Elite Counseling Group, LLC, dog mom turned human mom, lover of indoor plants....killer of indoor plants, and social work fanatic. I was born and raised in Lafayette, but am an IU Hoosier girl at heart! If you are a Purdue fan, we can still be friends! I’ve been back in the Lafayette area after obtaining a few degrees and I am so excited for this newest endeavor.
Welcome ! I’m grateful you're considering therapy and taking this important step toward your well-being, With over 20 years of experience and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Ball State University, I've had the privilege of working with clients navigating a wide range of concerns-from ADHD, Autism diagnostic assessments to Women's health issues and beyond.
I have over 38 years of experience helping children, adults, and families navigate complex emotional and relational challenges. I work from a family-systems and strength-based perspective, focusing on understanding patterns that contribute to ongoing stress and disconnection.
I am direct, thoughtful, and collaborative in my approach. I work with ADHD, anxiety, depression, school concerns, divorce, and family relationship challenges. When working with children, I believe caregiver involvement is essential for meaningful and lasting change.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Psychotherapist. I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. Clients often describe me as caring, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I show up as a real, relatable person so clients can feel supported as they move toward healing and growth.
I’m a therapist who believes real change happens when you feel both understood and challenged. I won’t just sit back and nod—I’ll help you make sense of what’s going on, and we’ll actively work toward shifting it.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I create a space where you can be honest without feeling judged, while also helping you notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I draw from approaches like emotionally focused therapy (EFT), parts work, and skills-based strategies when helpful, but I tailor everything to you rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all model.
I work with adults and couples navigating things like relationship stress, trauma, anxiety, identity questions, and major life transitions. With couples, I focus on helping you understand the deeper emotional dynamics underneath conflict—not just the surface arguments—so you can rebuild trust, connection, and a sense of security.
If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond just talking and moves toward real, lasting change, we’ll likely be a good fit.
Great to meet you!
As a board certified Psychotherapist, I believe in prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts so congratulations on taking that step.
