

Hello, my name is Shuhui Edith Peng, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I provide therapeutic support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, focusing on helping clients build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and work toward their personal goals. My specialty areas are depression, anxiety, and trauma.
With over twenty-seven years of diverse nursing experience, particularly in Emergency Room and Mental Health settings, such as St. Elizabeth Hospital, Providence Hospital, and the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. These positions have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of both clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
I have worked in primary care and medical environments for over 6 years as a therapist/clinical social worker.
My background is primarily working with patients faced with mood disorders such as anxiety, and depression. My expertise has expanded to treat PTSD and dissociative disorders as well as borderline personality disorder.
I am a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s story and strengths.
I integrate evidence-based practices—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Family Systems approaches—with a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, and move toward lasting change.

I also have extensive experience supporting people from diverse cultural and family backgrounds who are balancing multiple roles, expectations, and life transitions.
