I have worked in the field of mental health and social services since I graduated with a degree is Counseling Psychology in 2015. After receiving a graduate degree in Social Work from UConn in 2020, I continued to work in the field as a clinician and am now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I've worked with many different populations over the years and in multiple settings including outpatient programs, school and community based services, as well as residential programs.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree from UCONN, I bring over nine years of experience working with adolescents and their families. I have had the privilege of supporting a diverse population through challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, social skills development, attachment difficulties, major life transitions and school avoidance.
Additionally, I speak Portuguese and am happy to provide services for Portuguese-speaking clients.
Therapy isn’t supposed to feel like performance. It’s supposed to feel like relief.
I’m Kristen — a licensed clinical social worker who’s spent over 20 years supporting people through transitions, overwhelm, and deep life work. I live in South Portland, Maine with my family, and I understand firsthand the emotional labor, coordination, and internal pressure that come with being a capable, high-achieving woman and mother.
As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I intimately understand the cost of masking — and what it takes to stop performing and start feeling and living.
Great to meet you!
Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, so if you’re here, you’ve already taken a really meaningful first step.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with individuals, couples, and families navigating a variety of challenges. I specialize in working with addiction, couples and relationship concerns, family dynamics, autism-related support, and anxiety and depression.
My background includes working in both school systems and clinical settings, which has given me the opportunity to support people from many different backgrounds and life stages. Through this work, I’ve developed a strong passion for helping people better understand the patterns within their relationships and families.
Many of the clients I work with are trying to improve communication with a partner or family member, navigate the impact of addiction, support a loved one on the autism spectrum, or manage feelings of anxiety and depression that are affecting daily life.
No matter what brings you to therapy, my goal is to create a space that feels supportive, honest, and human; where you can show up exactly as you are without fear of judgment.
