I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in private practice with an extensive background in social work across diverse settings. My work is grounded in compassion, ethical practice, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Sacred Heart University where I received comprehensive training in clinical practice and evidence-based interventions. I have experience working with adults and older adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including dementia, anxiety, burnout, stress, and the everyday ups and downs of life. My background has equipped me to support clients with both complex clinical needs and the challenges that naturally arise across different life stages.
As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW, I bring to the table a wide range of experiences and perspectives. I strongly believe this enables me to help individuals improve their quality of life. My first career was in business, and I am passionate about helping professionals move forward in their careers. My clinical career started in the military, where I began to understand commitment and discipline. I put all of this into my approach to Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
I am therapist specializing in working with adults seeking trauma recovery. I began my career within the school system, facilitating Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills groups and advocating for the educational needs of students. While working within the school system, I found my true passion in providing direct clinical care to those struggling with an array of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety and trauma. Following my work within schools,I transitioned to working within teen and adult residential and intensive outpatient settings where I provided psychotherapy to those facing substance abuse, personality disorders and PTSD. Through her work in these settings, I additionally assisted clients in connecting with resources that could benefit their overall growth and development including vocational services, medication management and education.
I believe therapy should feel supportive, practical, and empowering. Clients often describe me as warm, direct, and easy to talk to. I work with adults who want to better understand their emotions, patterns, and relationships, and I focus on helping clients build skills they can actually use in daily life. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start—just a willingness to show up.
As a licensed professional counselor, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to goals, growth, and stability. For eleven years I was a school counselor which highlighted the growing mental health needs. So, the past three years I have shifted my focus to private practice to help clients ages 8-40. Seeking help is one of the hardest parts in your journey, so congratulations on taking that first step and prioritizing your mental health!
As someone who has been both a client and therapist, I encourage you to tell and develop your own story. In my personal and professional life I have witnessed: family struggles, mental illness, substance use, domestic violence, trafficking, and grief; and I am a firm believer that this does not define you. It takes courage to seek support during difficult times, & I want to help empower clients in using their own strengths tp develop skills to foster hope, healing, and resilience.
