As a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Feelosophy Bilingual Counseling Services, I believe that healing begins with understanding. Seeking support can feel vulnerable, and I honor the courage it takes to begin therapy. I work with individuals across the lifespan navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I provide bilingual (English/Spanish) services and bring specialized training in perinatal mental health and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), while also supporting children, adolescents, adults, and caregivers with a wide range of emotional and relational concerns.
I have a decade of experience in the field, varying from academic and judiciary settings to private and public agencies. I have been primarily focused on working with younger populations (teenagers to young adults) in individual and family work, however am open to all ages, genders, races, sexualities, and cultures.
I know trying to find the right fit can be a tedious and tiring process, I hope to be of help for as little or as long as we may collaborate together.
A warm hello and thank you for landing here! It happens, even when you are someone who can be strong when you need to, there are times when reaching out for support can be helpful. Wherever you've been, your journey has brought you to where you are right now, to a place of tending to what matters. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, ADHD, life changes and stressors, relationships, school/work, or current or past trauma, I am happy to help.
My multi-cultural experience and approach have taught me that there are many ways to look at the world and oneself. Your life story is unique, and together, we will explore how to bring about desired changes in your life and relationships. I work with trauma, anxiety and life changes, and have experience both in community and hospital settings.
Raised to prioritize the needs of others above my own, deeply influenced by my mother’s own upbringing, I spent decades placing others’ needs ahead of my own as a buffer against my own fears. However, in 2021-2022, faced with one of the most challenging periods of my life, I underwent a transformation and began to find my path forward. I was led to realize that healing doesn't mean fixing oneself but rather rediscovering lost parts. For we are never broken, yet only stuck.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker based in Maplewood, NJ and the founder of canyons therapy. I can see clients who live in New Jersey, Texas, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. I am a recovering perfectionist, anxious mom, and lover of a slow-paced life. In session, you will find me casually dressed, warm beverage in-hand, and ready to hold space for your most imperfect self. Outside of session, I’m wrangling my young kids and doing my best to embrace our chaos. I enjoy being in nature, watching the latest documentary, and curating mood-setting playlists.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I currently work in a school setting, which has given me a strong understanding of how stress, emotions and behavior show up in everyday life-not just in therapy but at home, school and work.
I connect easily with people who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like they've always had to "hold it together" for everyone else. My goal is to create a safe space where you can feel comfortable being yourself without judgement. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you better understand your patterns while building practical tools to feel more in control of your life.
Hi, I’m Sara. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut, and I work with teens, young adults, and families who are dealing with anxiety, depression, life changes, and relationship challenges.
I believe every human is on their own journey of growth, self-discovery, and healing. My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity. Together we’ll create a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to explore your story while building the tools you need to move forward.
My approach is collaborative and flexible. I often use CBT, DBT, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy, and I tailor sessions to fit your individual needs. Clients describe me as warm, approachable, and down to earth. I try to balance understanding with practical strategies that you can use in your daily life, whether that means finding ways to manage stress, communicate better, or feel more grounded.
Outside of therapy, I find balance and renewal in nature and the outdoors. That connection to growth and change in the natural world often inspires how I view the healing process in therapy.
If you’re ready to start or continue your journey, I’d be honored to support you in creating lasting growth and connection.
I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the challenges that life throws their way.
My style is a blend of validation, strategy, and just enough humor to keep things real. Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, or tension in your relationships, I’ll help you tap into your inner resources, navigate those tough moments, and find the hope and healing you deserve.
