Hi! My name is Laurie Payne and I've been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 27 years now. I have worked with children for many years who have sexual abuse history as well as other types of abuse, and then I became a clinical director of several clinics. I'm now returning to my first love, therapy, and very much enjoy working with motivated adults to help them on their healing journey.

My practice has a foundation of empathy, mutual respect and creativity. I have worked with adult individuals in my clinical practice for nearly 5 years now! After graduate school, I facilitated group and individual therapy with adolescents for over 6 years. I have almost 15 years of experience working in the mental health field with people of all ages and over 20 years of experience working with teens and young children.
I am a warm, friendly and empathetic trauma therapist who has a passion for helping hurting people. I have a BA in Psychology, a MA in Human Services Counseling with a concentration in Life Coaching, and a MA in Marriage & Family Therapy. I am a Licensed Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2. I utilize evidenced based modalities such as EMDR, Somatic and Restorative Yoga, Trauma Focused CBT and mindfulness to name a few.
For over 20 years, I’ve supported vulnerable individuals through complex emotional experiences. I’m here to help you work through what matters most, even when talking feels overwhelming. My goal is to offer a compassionate, collaborative process that trusts your inner strengths and guides you toward building the life you want.
I believe therapy works best when it feels human, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe being honest, imperfect, and fully themselves without fear of judgment.
