I am a second-generation Vietnamese/Chinese American man and an online therapist in California. I understand the unique weight of family expectations and the cultural silence that often surrounds mental health. My lived experience is the foundation of my practice. I show up with genuine curiosity and cultural sensitivity to help you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
As someone who has gone through years of therapy myself, I am very passionate about working with you for your highest good. With a background in meditation, conflict mediation, somatic work, spirituality and psychology, I have a solid toolkit that is at your service. My undergrad degree from Berkeley is in Media Studies, so we will also explore how media shapes us and the current culture we live in.
I work with all different ages, ethnic/racial backgrounds, social groups, nationalities and orientations!
I am deeply committed to helping individuals reconnect with themselves, understand the emotions beneath their experiences, and develop effective coping tools that support greater happiness and well-being. I have been licensed since 1998 and specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD.
Hi , I’m Katrina and I absolutely love listening to people . I listen to what you’re passionate about - and I listen to what you’re struggling with . I hope that by working together, we can make sense of the storm that feels like it’s overshadowing you at this moment. I like to incorporate Faith-based Christian counseling if you’re up for it! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) as well as a credentialed school counselor (PPS).
I am licensed in California with over 10 years of professional work experience. I help individual clients with stress and anxiety, trauma/abuse, relationships & depression. I have provided psychotherapy services at domestic violence and sexual assault clinics, psychiatric hospitals, mobile crisis units for families and adults with neuro-developmental disorders, and with military Veterans of varying ages struggling with social, psychological, and physically disabling conditions. In my private practice I have supported my millennial peers with the many challenges we struggle with everyday.
While depression & anxiety may be reasonable responses to your life experiences and the state of the world, that doesn't mean you have to suffer alone. You deserve support! I strive to create an environment where you can safely lean into difficult feelings and process your past and present without shame or judgment. We will work collaboratively to unpack the impact of systems, relationships, & intersectional identities (i.e. women of color, immigrant background, cultural stress) on your well-being. Together, we’ll explore healing not only as an individual journey, but as an act of empowerment & transformation.
