With a passion for psychology at an early age, I obtained a degree in Psychology prior to pursuing a career in Nursing. It is my honor to help patients achieve the life they envision.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and board approved supervisor with experience serving adolescents and adults in community mental health and private practice settings. I currently work mostly with women and helping professionals who are experiencing burnout, trauma, depression, and life transitions. I am trained in EMDR and have advanced training in complex trauma and somatic therapy. I am in the process of completing training for therapeutic yoga. I also offer group therapy and consultation for new therapists, as I am passionate about helping others in the field prevent burnout, learn regulation tools, and build sustainable practices that help us keep doing the work we love.
As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I use holistic, person-centered care to diagnose, prescribe medications, and provide therapy in a practical and evidence-based way. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and children who have been holding a lot together while feeling overwhelmed, lonely, anxious, or shut down on the inside. My specialized areas include trauma and trauma-related disorders, including personality and dissociative disorders, as well as autism, ADHD, and bipolar disorders. I enjoy helping others to reach their fullest potential and best life possible. So contact me if you're ready to feel steady, empowered, sleep better, think clearly, and stop reacting in survival mode so you can show up for work, relationships, and yourself.
In more than 20 years of practice, I've had the good fortune to walk beside many peoplemoving through difficult times and struggle to a place of relief and the recovery of a sense of identity, integrity, and self worth. For many years, I have specialized in helping men and women struggling with Sex Addiction. More recently my work has led me to help Couple's find each other again and to guide them through a range of relationship and recovery related issues. My experience has allowed me to develop an understanding of how to help with many other problems including grief, depression, and anxiety. My approach is always compassionate but solution focused.
