I am Dr. Obinna Ezealor, DNP, PMHNP‐BC, a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 12 years of clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, and long‐term psychiatric settings. My work spans general and addiction psychiatry, and I have extensive experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe every client deserves care that honors their story, strengths, and goals.
I’m a board-certified psychiatrist with over a decade of experience working across inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings. All of my experiences have shaped how I approach treatment: thoughtful, evidence-based, and centered on the person that is in front of me. My priority is to meet you where you are, and to understand you as a person.
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner providing telehealth medication management for adults across New York. I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and stress-related concerns.
My approach is structured, evidence-based, and focused on measurable improvement. We work together to clarify what’s driving your symptoms and create a clear, practical treatment plan. When medication is appropriate, I aim for options that are effective, well-tolerated, and sustainable long-term.
I primarily work with adults seeking focused, collaborative psychiatric care via telehealth.
What I Treat Most Often
I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management through secure telehealth appointments for adults in New York.
My passion is to help others achieve wellness. I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience. I currently work both inpatient and outpatient facilities within New York City. I specialize in the diagnoses and treatment of adults with a range of mental health issues.
I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, individual psychotherapy and medication management for adults. My goal is to explore each of my patient's situations and issues judiciously before arriving at appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
My patients often say that I am approachable, personable, and respond quickly to emails/phone calls. I am accepting new patients.
I am a double board-certified family and psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. As a Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I believe that healing begins with understanding. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can share your story without judgment and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I provide individualized, evidence-based care for adults facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorders, ADHD/ADD, and sleep disorders.
I have the most experience working with the adult population. My ideal client is not someone with a specific diagnosis or past experience. It is someone who is battling something within them and is seeking a helping hand to hold on. Treatment with the most appropriate medication can help a person overcome and persevere. I hope to work with patients who really want to make a change in their lives. I like to treat my patients holistically with medications that safely help them. I hope that my patients seek my guidance because they want to challenge themselves. Together, we can make tomorrow a better day.
I am a doctorally prepared, dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their mental health journey.
By integrating my medical and psychiatric expertise, I take a holistic approach to care, addressing both physical and emotional well-being to help improve overall health outcomes. My goal is to partner with you to develop a personalized plan that supports your growth, stability, and long-term wellness
I began my psychiatric nursing career after graduating from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2009. Several years later, I pursued an advanced practice degree, also at Columbia University, and earned a PhD. I lived in Poland and France before I arrived to the United States at the turn of this century. Given my international experience, I work in three languages: English, French, and Polish. I offer therapy and medication management and the clients and me decide on the best approach.
