I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who understands the importance of providing healthcare from a holistic perspective, centered on healing the whole person (mind, body, and spirit). I am certified in working with all ages, from children to the elderly. I can help with anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, ASD, and Schizo-affective disorders. My psychiatric experience includes working in acute care psychiatric hospitals as well as private practice outpatient mental health care.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and serve as the primary psychiatric provider at a residential mental health program in New Hampshire. My professional experience encompasses leadership and direct clinical roles within diverse psychiatric settings, including inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatric evaluation, behavioral emergency response, and clinical education.

Earlier in my career, I co‐owned and operated a geriatric dementia respite care program, an experience that continues to inform my measured, compassionate, and patient‐centered approach to care. I am dedicated to the delivery of thoughtful, evidence‐based mental health services that uphold the highest standards of professional practice and are tailored to the individual needs of each client.

Stimulants, Suboxone and Benzodiazepines are prescribed in this practice with DEA guidelines. Dr. Padilla is a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the New York tri-state area and has over 30 years of experience in healthcare. He treats children from 6 years old through adulthood, focusing on psychiatric medication management. He specializes in mental health and has extensive experience in the field of psychiatry. Dr. Padilla takes a “start low and go slow” approach to prescribing, paying special attention to medication potency and potential interactions with other medications prescribed by other providers. Dr. Padilla earned his Doctorate in Clinical Practice Nursing from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. He also holds bachelor’s degrees from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and the University of Miami, as well as an associate’s degree from Bergen Community College.

My background spans primary care, urgent care, and mental health, allowing me to approach each client with a comprehensive understanding of both physical and emotional well-being.

I specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, and mood disorders. My practice focuses on providing evidence-based medication management paired with supportive, collaborative care. I believe in meeting clients where they are, empowering them through education, and tailoring treatment plans to their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

Jacki Veler, MSN, PMHNP, FNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing experience. She earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in 2021 and her PMHNP Graduate Certificate from the University of Toledo in 2022. At NewHeart Mental Health and Wellness in Oak Harbor, Ohio, she delivers in person and remote outpatient psychiatry and addiction treatment for adults and children across the entire lifespan. She also provides inpatient psychiatric care at a behavioral health hospital.
