Hello! I specialize in women’s mental health, focusing on hormone-related concerns such as PMDD, infertility, loss, pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause. Combining my background as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I offer a compassionate, holistic approach tailored to each woman's unique experience. I am dedicated to helping women navigate these significant life transitions and hormonal challenges with understanding, support, and effective strategies. If you're seeking expert guidance and empathetic care, I’m here to support you on your journey to wellness.
My name is Doug L. Watson, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, RN, and I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with three years of experience treating clients across the lifespan. While I’m trained to work with individuals of all ages, about 85% of my practice has been focused on pediatrics and adolescents—a population I’m truly passionate about serving. I see children as young as five years old through Telehealth up to ages 75 or higher if needed. I earned both my BSN and MSN from Indiana Wesleyan University, completing my graduate degree in October 2022.
I genuinely love what I do and have always felt called to the field of psychiatry. Becoming a Psych/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner has been one of the most fulfilling decisions of my life. I’m excited to be on my own, building a lasting career. I’m committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and making a positive difference in the lives of my clients and their families.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their mental health and sense of well-being. I believe mental health care should be collaborative, compassionate, and free of judgment. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered—exactly as you are.
I meet you where you are on your journey, recognizing that healing is not linear and that every person’s experience is unique. Through thorough assessment, evidence-based treatment, and patient education, I partner with you to develop a plan that aligns with your goals, values, and lifestyle.
I am passionate about helping clients better understand their mental health, build resilience, and gain the tools needed to move forward with confidence and clarity. Whether you are seeking support for the first time or continuing your path toward wellness, you are not alone in the process.
I received a bachelor's degree in business management from Angelo State University and then later in life changed career pathways to become a nurse. I received my bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Indianapolis and my master’s in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University.
I have been married to my husband for twenty-three years and we have one young adult daughter spreading her wings. In my free time (ha) I love to travel, camp, read, and go boating & fishing.
